Dr. Cahill....
I had the lap RNY. It was the least painful surgery I've ever had. I do understand that some people have somewhat tough recoveries, but for me it was as if nothing at all had happened. I think it was because it was laparoscopic...all my other surgeries were open and nasty...so it was a piece of cake. I think Dr Cahill is an excellent surgeon, and the nurses at Little Company of Mary are outstanding...THAT is the way nursing is meant to be.
It's been about 2 1/2 months for me, and I have lost 72 pounds. I never could have lost this on my own, and I tried so many times. I will say that I do feel hunger and the urge to graze. I thought that I would not feel hunger, as everyone on this website goes on and on about how they force themselves to eat. But to my disappointment, my head didn't have WLS, only my stomach did. Perhaps some brilliant neurosurgeon will fix that someday.
If I can tell you anything else, just let me know. Best wishes, Joan
