Well, evryone I've come to the end the psyc eval is not covered by insurance and I don't have the money to pay for it. I'm not doing well about it but that's life. Is there anything anyone can help please please Audrey

if you don't have the money for it and you can stand the long wait go to university of Chicago because they cover it or at least they never told me i had to pay for it. you have to register on remedy.com through u of c it is 125 fee but you don't pay it till after you have surgery. good luck to you. dee

Shar can you even belive it!!!! MOnday morning at 7:30 I will be on my way to the loser bench. And you will be right behind me!!! I might still be at the hospital when you are there!!! congrats to you!!!

Audrey, There are places where you can get a psych eval that are low cost. If you go through Midwest Metropolitan Family Services they have a sliding scale for psych stuff. You may want to check with them. They are sponsored by United Way. I truly believe that if there is a will there is a way. Talk with your doctor see what you can figure out. Be positive it may just take a little longer. What is a few months compared to years of being overweight. Just keep on it something will come up. Kelly

Thanks everyone for your encouragement, I did call a doctor that was close to me and she is in network. She told me to call the insurance company and get my approval and they will cover it. I also spoke with my pcp and she had not dictated the predetermination letter for the insurance company, she was so sorry but she promised that she would dictate it on monday and fax it to them so hopefully something will take shape by the 13th when I see the surgeon. Also Happy Loser week for all those that's going to surgery this week. Keep us posted. I'm also glad that I'm on this board you help me stay sane and prayful. Audrey
