Closed Barix-now who?

For those of you who used the Belvidere Barix Drs., where are you going now for your health care related to your surgery? I feel so left out there. And, wouldn't you know that my pouch has just started hurting when I eat and drink. Possibly an ulcer! Yikes. Kim M.

Dear Kim: I did not go to Barix, but my surgery team is at the UW Madison, and they may be able to help. They are the BEST in their field, and I am SOOOOOO glad that choose them over Barix back when I was researching. Their number is 608-265-7090. Barix when they closed from what I understand were directing their patients to Life Weigh Bariatrics in Downers Grove. Drs Jeff Rosen and Michael Iwanicki are fantastic people and will follow up other doctor's patients. There is an ad in the lower left of this page that will link you to their web site. Hi kim, I also strongly reccomend dr's garren and gould at uw madison. I am also from rockford, and it is more traveling, than to belvidere, but well worth it!!!! Everyone is very caring, and they have a team approach that is second to none. Where ever you go, I wish you best of luck!! John

I didn't use the Bevidere Barix Docs. I used Dr. Paul Guske from the Kane Center. They are located in Elk Grove Village and Arlington Hts., which is far closer to Rockford than Madison. Dr. Guske is wonderful and very compassionate. I have hard wonderful things about the other doctors in the practice. Good luck. Hope you're feeling better soon.
