Update on Shar
Shar had a revision of her WLS I think on Wednesday. She called me yesterday night -actually left me a message as I was out at a support meeting.
She was in surgery over 8 hours. Her surgery was complicated and the surgeon had more work on his hands then anticipated. She was on a ventilator for a short time.
She was in a lot of pain when I called her back last night. She is in Evanston Hospital and probably will be discharged on Saturday if her UGI comes out OK.
Please keep her in your prayers that all goes well and her pain is minimized.
Thanks
Lucy

Hi Christina. It was a little hard yesterday because I had all the boxes of clothes. But I plan on crashing the May meeting, so we may have more time. We could plan on meeting earlier- perhaps for an early dinner in the area.
I'll be calling Shar and let her know that people are praying for her recovery.
Hope you'll have a great time shopping with your niece!

Hi Linda. I am doing very well after my second round of plastics.
My arms turned out so awesome. My PS is excellent. My BL/BA is still a work in progress. I'm still swollen so the verdict is pending. Incision lines are clean and flat. No hint of a seroma. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I get through the next 3 days and then I think I am out of the woods - seroma free!
It was difficult at first, as I went back to work one week after surgery. I was so tired every day and left work early.
I got the green light to start exercising again. I will take it slow and build my exercise routine from there.
Thanks for asking!

Hi Jeannine. I was so happy to come to your support meeting. I enjoyed the presentation by the exercise physiologist. I plan on crashing the group next month. After all, the topic is right up my alley - clothes!
It made me feel good to see that others could make good use out of my clothes. It was hard to give them up, but there was no way I could have them altered without spending too much money. It was great to meet you too!
Ah, QVC,. Love them.
Take care and Happy Easter!

Karyn, Shar called me last night. She is back in the hospital - Northwest Community with pneumonia. She sounded so exhausted and out of breath.
I'll be calling her tomorrow morning and see how she is doing.
The meeting I went to was in Downers Grove - held on the first Thursday of the month. Christine Bennett and Christina Puppe invited me as their guest.
I'll be thinking of you this week as your GB surgery nears. It sounds like you are ready for it from the other post.
Talk to you soon too!
