Well, my doc gave me a phone # to call to get financing

for this surgery ( the one from the official Lap band website) and I was declined because of a past bankruptcy ( 5 years ago) . I am in the middle of appealing the insurance comany but in the mean time I want to investigate other avenues just in case a decline is the final word. Does anyone have any other suggestions ???

Susan, do you have a 401(k) retirement plan where you work? I was able to borrow against mine to pay for my lap band surgery. Better yet, I pay myself back at a much lower interest rate than I would pay some finance company back.
