I'm going Monday for my consultation!

Well...on Monday at 6:30 I have a consultation with doctor Wallace in Elk GroveVillage. My mom is going with me for support. I have already started the 6 month sup. diet. I went to my PCP last week and to my suprise, he was VERY supportive. BCBS mailed him the requirements for the surgery and he is writting a letter to the insurance saying that he feels I would comply with the lifestyle. I am going every month to see him. I am looking forward to Monday. Have a blessed Easter everyone!!!

Oh, how wonderful, you are on your way. Be sure to hold on because you are going to be in for the ride of your life ! (in a good way). You have chosen a great doctor group. My husband had his WLS with Dr Rantis of the same group. I (and my DH) every once in a while will go and speak at their pre surg seminars. They are very knowledgeable group of doctors and cooporately they have been doing WLS for well over 40 years. Good luck and come back and tell us how everything went. Chris

Hi Kim. You'll love Dr. Wallace. I had my RNY surgery with Dr. Guske from the same group. They are very organized and provide you with a thorough screening before surgery. I can't say enough about this group. They are the best. Keep us posted on your progress. Happy Easter to you too! Lucy
