Just finished my blood work today, so the final test is the endoscopy on April 25. Can anyone shed some light on how long Dr.'s take to sumbit the letter to the Insurance company once the have received all the test results? Thanks so much! Jason First timer

Jason, it all depends on how busy that particular doc's office is. Some doctors will send out their letters to be transcribed with a service and some have their own in office transcribers. So there isn't a clear cut answer to your question. I would say that you could ask someone at the office what the time line might be. Chris

Hi Jason - It's hard to say, I'm sure each doc is different but my guess would be that they would act on it pretty quickly. I don't think you have to worry about them sitting on it. You may have to follow up w/ your insurance co if you don't hear anything after a couple weeks. Just from experience, when I finally called my insurance co after not hearing anything, they kept telling me they had not rcvd the faxes from my surgeons office. So keep on them. Congratulations on taking the first steps to a healthier you. Christina

Yes every doc is different. I would ask the doc, I know I had to get on my doctor because she kept forgetting to write it. Also calling insurance co is good to see if they got the letter!! Good luck!!
