How's everyone doing after our spring snow event yesterday? I actually had to shovel some of that wet heavy snow in the driveway. I probably shouldn't have done it, since my brachioplasty. I was slow and careful trying not to lift the snow. I got up very late today and that set me way behind. I guess I needed some more sleep Hope everyone is doing well. Have a wonderful day. Good Morning Lucy and the rest of Illinois - So glad the week is almost over. This has been some pretty crummy weather we've had. I have not really talked to you since the night you called so you don't know that dh and I are trying to work on our marriage. Things have been going really well. We are both committed to at least working on it. Marriage is not always a peice of cake and sometimes you wonder if the grass is really greener on the other side. Sunday we leave for a little get away.. We are going to Galena and I'm looking so forward to the time away and just working on us. I did schedule a drifting stone massage for Monday morning. Oh how I can't wait. That's my treat to me for meeting my mini goal. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!! Christina

Christina, I am happy for you. I wouldn't know about marriage, as I have never been married. At least both of you are trying to work things out and not giving up. BRRRRRR - man that damp temp goes right through you. The dreariness is getting to me, we need some sun. We just let the snow on the drive and sidewalks melt away with the rain that we ended up having. I don't think that we just 15 miles south of you got the same amount of snow. They said O'Hare had less than 2" of snow but we just 8 miles west of it had more than 3". Today is brighter and things are looking up. Taking that CPR and first aid class today that the village is making all employees go through. All of us have to be trained and certified in it and on the AED's. All in all it is a good thing. Christina, that sounds great where you are going and doing this weekend. Let me know how you like the massage. I have a gift certificate for a spa treatment and I have not decided yet exactly what treatment I want to have. I will be interested in your opinion. We get away next Thursday to Shipshewana, IN to enjoy Amish country. We love watching the relaxing way of life out there in addition to the shopping and good food. Chris, Dr. M lifted my restrictions at my last visit. Of course, he didn't say anything specific about snow shoveling. I asked him about exercising equipment - gazelle and elliptical trainer. He said those are both fine. We had about 3 inches of snow. It was a mess when I got home. I didn't know it was going to melt. I was afraid of it freezing and then having ice chunks on my driveway. That would have caused a lot of problems for me! Lucy

My face would be red now if you could see me. I only seen the few that are displayed I have never scrolled through them. I did not realize I could scoll through. I think its time for the GLASSES. I keep putting it off. Thanks If I had not asked I probaly would have not noticed. Its a duh moment!

dang, that snow was HEAVY too!! When do you head back to work? It's not like you need beauty sleep, but sometimes the extra sleep is WELL needed and worth it. Talk to you soon, Karyn

Karyn, I'm at work! Yesterday I got up and went to work early around 4 a.m. I had to pick up my aunt from the airport in all that mess. She came in around 10:15 from Germany. Actually her plane came in early, so I was lucky. I had a gentleman caller around 10:30 last night. He woke me up out of a deep sleep and then I had a hard time going back to sleep. That's why I was late this morning and needed more sleep! Lucy
