I'M ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a week I have had. Surgery was 8 hours longs , the worst case my surgeon has ever had to do in his entire career. He'll never forget me. After being released 48 hr later, which I thought was way too soon, I had to be readmitted 12 hours later. I developed shingles from being on the table so long, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism ( levels sky high so hopefully caught before it developed) and fluid overload. I was released last night and hopefully am on the road to recovery. I am down 14 pounds Yay! I want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern.

Welcome home Shar. I didn't know you also had a pulmonary embolism. Yikes, pneumonia would have more than enough! What a way to lose 14 pounds. I can't believe you were discharged last night. It must have been after you called me. That was a late discharge. I finally got my call but it was late - after 10:30 pm. I was already asleep. Keep in touch. Take it easy and get a lot of rest. You've been through so much in a short time. Lucy

SHAR I am so glad you are doing good!!! I was at my appointment at 1 pm (early) it was for 2 pm. When I got there they told me you said you were doing good and hello!!! I am SO glad. Thank god we had such a great surgeon huh? I am feeling awesome still sore no pain meds since Sunday! The drive home yesterday was a little uncomfy from sitting too long. The day of surgery I was 349 and at the dr office yesterday I was 334 when I started with him march 8 I was 357!!! So finally after never losing a single pound in over 8 years I am on the way to a healthy me!!!!!! We have to keep tabs of each other since we are only 1 day apart now take it easy walk and breath!!!!!!!

Hi !!!!!!!!! I actually feel kinda good today. I was so disappointed to not see you at Dr F's office. My next appt is May 3rd at 9:45. When is yours? 10 days post op and I am down 19 pounds. YAY!!! I will speak with you soon, it is so hard for me to sit at the computer.

I know the feeling!!!! My appointment is for may 10th it was suppose to be the 3rd but that's his first day back from Europe and I figured it would be really busy. So I took a week later at 1pm. I go in the afternoon because I drive straight from st Louis so I leave pretty early!! glad you feeling better. I would be 100% if this dam itching would stop!!!
