My Lap Band is on hold

Well, after hoping to have all pretesting done by 5/1 and approval from BC/BS by mid May. it all came to a screehing halt yesterday. I went to see Dr. Saurie for my cadiac clearance, and he took one look at my cardiac history and said no, not at this time. He wants me to have a valve replacement and also do bypass before he will approve it. I knew if anyone would put a halt to me getting the lapband at this time, it would be him. I understand, he wants me in the best of health, and it needs to be done, but, I wi**** could of been later. Anyway, hopefully I will be able to continue this within 4 months, since they want to do the heart within the next 2 weeks,

Lisa, oh I am so sorry. All I can say is that you have a very smart doctor. What good would the WLS be if you cannot survive it with your heart and live? (((HUGS))). Come back and tell us how things are going with you real soon. Chris
