For those who have had dr vitello as a surgen
I see him for my consult on may 1st.
can you tell me what tests he requires done so i can jump ahead with some of them maybe?
what all does he require?
should I try and get a psyc eval
the day I go see him too or will he have to refer me there?
Id just like to get as much done as soon as possiable. Plus im 5 hours from there so what I can get done here id like too.
now now don't be in a rush and get ahead of yourself and him...lol he will only give you your pre-op testings that he wants done once public aid has approved the surgery and he has set a pre-op appointment for you...so don't worry about all that right now...just let it come to you as it comes and deal with it then!!~
Ck~
Sandra , i had Dr Vitello....he requires...stress test.Blood work & lab work done prior to surgery and redone just b4 surgery....the blood work only last they say for 6 mo's and if (surgery)isnt scheduled by then they re do them...usually two weeks prior to surgery,...
Chest x-ray too,
IDPA...requires the above also....(reports from PCP)but they also want the phys eval and,
my phys eval (doc) faxed a copy to IDPA for me & I carried a copy to my PCP just in case.......also they require a 6 mo's supervised weight eval from your (PCP)...to see what work and didnt....what I done to try and lose weight over the yrs, what you lost and so forth.I did mine and typed it out and took it to my Dr and he sign it for me....
then I faxed it from his office to them.
Dr.Vitello is a kind, considerate and beautiful surgeon.....he is tops in his field and very professional....I just loved him to death....by the grace of God , he sent him to me.......
Hope this helps
