Holy Cow it is Friday!
It has been a long week work wise and I am really looking forward to Saturday and Sunday. I just looked at the weather forecast for the Chgo area and it is supposed to be nice with warmer temps and some sun.
My lunch yesterday was great with the chief, deputy chief the secretary and a gazzilion other management people from other county police departments. All support personnel receive some sort of prize and my prize is a pair of tickets to see a play in Oak Brook at Drury Lane. It could not have been a better date that they chose because it is Dave's and my 33rd anniversary, May 11th. He is getting off cheap this year as all he has to do is buy dinner, I think I am going to make him take me to Claim Jumper in Lombard. We have not been to one of those for about 8 years when we were last in CA.
Hope you all have a great weekend and can get outside at least whereever you are at in the state. I won't be able to do much in the backyard because of all the rain. The yard is still pretty soupy and the water is puddled back there. It probably will go down by Sunday. Maybe I will haul the ole bike out and go for a spin.

Good morning Chris! WOW, you had some day yesterday. Great news about the theater tickets.
I'm just about ready to go but need to get dressed. I hope today will be a better day for me.
Christina - thanks for your personal emails to me. I am better today. I may have some good news to share this weekend about my personal life.
Shar - I hope you are doing better and in less or no pain! You've been through so much and deserve to have a smooth road ahead. I can't wait to see you. Are you planning on coming to the support meeting on May 7th?
Wishing everyone a wonderful and safe day. I sure hope this rain ends. I'm getting so tired of driving in it and getting wet!
Hugs,
Lucy

Hi Lucy,
Good news about your personal life??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I can't wait to hear what it is. Yes, I am doing a bit better, still some pain but I do think it is getting better. I get very uncomfortable every 2 hours, filled up with tummy gas and then I spend about half an hour trying to get rid of it. My nights are wonderful! I do plan on going to the meeting and I sure look forward to seeing you there. Take care
Shar
Good Morning and TGIF!!!!
It has been a week from H*LL. I can't wait for the work day to end today, I need a break.
Chris - Congrats on the tickets to the play! That will be a great time.
Lucy - I've missed you sweetie and I hope you work thru whatever is going on in your life. You deserve to be happy.
Hope everyone has a great day. I'm running late so I need to run.

Hi Shar -
Thanks for asking. DH and I went to visit her last night. I took her a blanket w/ the other dogs sents and ours on it and she snuggled right up to it. She's still not eating but I did get her to drink a tiny bit of water. Her littles eyes and ears are very sensitive to light and sound so they have her in a pretty cool tent. I'm paying for that cool tent
Anyway, no vomiting yesterday which was the first day in over a week. She is still very sick but I pleased w/ her at least trying to drink a little. I'm going to boil some chicken when I get home and mix w/ white rice and some gravy and see if I can get her to eat when we go visit her tonight. I'm hoping if I can at least rub a little bit of the gravy on her gums it may give her a little courage to try. They are saying that this is just a very long process and it could take her at least a month before we see any noticable change. If we can get her eating, she may be able to come home by the middle of next week and then continue treatment from home. We are just taking things one day at a time. Again, thank you for asking
And as far as you go lady... Hang in there.. Things will get easier for you. Everyone heals and bounces back at a different pace. Just listen to your body and get lots of rest.
Christina
