Good Tuesday morning to all!
Sorry, I have not been around much, have been busy with my work and futzing around the house. I have been more of a lurker than a poster/supporter the last few days. Had my yearly work review yesterday and it came back excellant on almost everything, just a couple things to work on, plus new goals being set for this year. I am up for the challange, can't wait.
Not much planned today other than work. We do have tentative plans to go out with a young couple that we have been mentoring from our church this evening for a bite to eat. We usually need to wait until after 8pm to go out after they put their girls down to bed. Then his dad who lives with them keeps an ear on the girls. This young man is also our computer IT person who does all of our work for nothing so we just treat them to an evening out even if it is just for a burger and adult conversation.
Need to get going. Have a great day all.

Good morning Chris,
I also have been very busy around the house. I put up my kitchen valances this weekend and did so yard work. Boy did I get burned on Sunday! My shoulders are Killing me! The good thing about it is, that it will turn tan in a few days. I think it is wonderful that you and Dave are mentoring a young couple from church. I bet you guys are a great examples for them! It's not common to have a couple married for 33 years and still happy! Not to mention "adult conversation" is soooo nice also! With being with kids all day, I love to talk with people over 5 years old!!!! Do you and Dave have any kids? I am so glad your review went well! My husband has been doing some reviews at work also at the police dept.! I love hearing what he has to way about the people! Very interesting!!!!!! He is lucky, because he has a bunch of REALLY GOOD GUYS on his shift! Now days....thats another story!
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

Kim,
No, we decided not to have any children and it ended up being a good match for us. We enjoy other people's children, but THEN THEY GO HOME. I know we are dinosaurs in the marriage arena. Both Dave and I had great examples with our folks, both were married well over 50 years before we lost 3 of them. We had a great dinner, I will tell you more at another time. I need to get to bed. I woke up at 4am and the day before it was 430am.
Review time, your DH's work must have their fiscal year in May like our is. The bosses all have to get the reviews done before any of the non union people get their raises after budget is passed.

Good Morning Illinois -
Sounds like life is just plain busy for all. My Missy came home on Saturday and is doing really well. Still going to be a slow recovery but last night and this morning she decided she was hungry enough to try to eat a little. First time she had eaten on her own in over a week.
Chris - Glad to hear your review went well. Sure does not surprise me!! I know you are a great leader and I'm sure they are so grateful to have you on their team.
Karen - Sunburns are no fun but the tan does look good. I take it your a stay at home Mom? I bet you do thrive for some adult conversation from time to time. What's going on w/ your surgery? Where abouts are you in the process?
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
