My consult yesterday.

Most of you know my apt was 5 hours away and I was worried ab out my non dependable van making it. Well the van made it BUT one tire blew out and one went flat. go figure that was 130.00$ and I was sickly on top of the stress. we did finally make it to the doctors off . Well the nurse told me no I didnt have an apointment. I was in tears realy to have a panic attact my bipolar was comming out full force. I told her to page him. she was rude and said I will page him one time then youll have to come back friday. I told her with tires and gas I spend 300.00$ to come here and a 5 hour drive I wasnt going ANYWHERE until i saw this doctor. she told us we needed to leave because he wasnt comming we and we dont have an apointment. well after a little while he did finally come in. He took me to the back and I told him what happened and how rude she was. He didnt seem to happy with her. I think im going to make some kind of formal complaint too. Finally some good news. I loved him her was really nice said I will have NO problems getting aproved I just need a phsyc exam. If it all goes well in 6-8 weeks I will be having my surgery. YAY. All my surgery fears are gone for some reason im not afraid anymore im just happy. on top of all this we got home and my air conditioners broken Sorry for the long vent but ive had a rough few days.

When it rains it pours... Sorry to hear about all the stressers yesterday. It's a test, only a test. You'll get thru it. I'm glad to hear after all the confusion w/ the appointment that you were able to get in to see the surgeon and all went well. Hope you're starting to feel a little better. Christina

WOW sandra that sucks!! what a terrible office staff! I am so glad you will be having surgery!!!! hope your a/c gets fixed!!

Arghh! these nurses staff needs to get a grip on things and consider about ppl and not their damn concerns..I hope your surgeon told her a thing or two?.... So, glad you finally got to see him esp traveling 5 hours and having the luck you had getting there....I traveled same distance for mine...but w/out any problems. thank god! Once we got there though , we got a call day b4 that our friend died in a car accident...wasnt pleasant to hear but, we knew there was no turning back...surgery was shedule next day.... well I hope he did too. I let her know she didnt know what she was doing and needed to get organized AND I wasnt leaving till I talked to him.

Sandra, I understand how those days go,especially with depression. I'm proud of you for not giving up. I would write a formal complaint, you have patient rights, exercise them. Audrey
