Hello all! I have a question. My claim was sent to the insurance company and they stated that they needed past 5 years of proof of obesity or 2 comorbities. I believe that they filed to the ins. company with hypertension and sleep apnea (or hypoapnea). Not sure if that is the same. However my question is does your BMI have to be over 40 the whole 5 years or what. Mine has flucated from 43 to 37 over the last 5 years. Let me know what you experience is. Thanks much! Kelly

Hi Kelly - I would not be too concerned sweetie. 37 is still obese so you should be fine and you have sleep apnea and hypertension playing in your favor. Who would have ever thought that would actually be a plus to have other issues?? Hopefully after wls you will be able to get rid of the hypertension and sleep apnea. I believe most do. Try to worry about the insurance stuff. It will get you crazy Enjoy your weekend. Christina

You will be fine. With co morbidities, you only need a BMI of 35. You will be approved before you know it! Good Luck. Sandy Faith is not believing that God can, it is believing that God WILL!
