Rough day
Well the day really started out as a good day. Went to lunch with my sister and Mother. Went shopping with my Mom (who is also my biggest supporter). Came home and got all my flower pots planted. Then went to pick my daughter up from tutoring at school. This is where my day fell apart. I went to her classroom to pick her up and her teacher told me she had gotten on the bus to go home. I told the teacher that she had not arrived home. Her teacher insisted that she had gotten on the bus and that my daughter would only have tutoring on Wednesday this week. So I thanked her and left thinking that may there was a slight chance I had missed her. Got back in my car and called home. No answer. Called my ex husband and asked if he had made sure my daughter had her house key when she went to school today. He said he had. I asked if he knew where our daughter was and he said he didn't and I filled him on with what was happening. I told him I was on my way home to see if somehow I had missed her. He called Transportation to see if she had actually gotten on the bus. I got home and she was no where to be found. My ex called and said he had called my daughter's bus driver at home and was told my daughter didn't get on the bus. So now I'm pacing and panicing!! He said he was on his way to her school to check things out. So I'm pacing and panicing more. Praying she's alright. Praying she comes walking through the door any minute. Called Mom to try to calm myself down. Cried hysterically on the phone. Got off the phone and paced some more. Finally my I see my ex's phone number on caller ID and answer to hear my daughter's voice say hi Mommy. Cried hysterically again and told I was glad she was ok but I couldn't talk to her right now and would talk to her when she got home. Gave her a big hug when she got in the house and cried some more. She said she had told her Dad in the morning that she was going to work in the school's computer lab after school. She said her Dad was walking away from her when she told him so maybe he didn't hear her. She said she left the classroom with the walkers (wich leaves after the bus riders) and that her teacher had high fived her when she left. She also said her teacher had come into the computer lab and she thought her teacher had seen her. So sounds like communication break down all around!! At least I have my daughter back safe and sound. I also made it through this without turning to food!! In the old days I would of ate myself to death with worry. Hope you all had better days. Thanks for taking the time to listen. Just feels better.

I'm sorry you had a rough day. That had to of been a very scary time for you but I'm so glad for the happy ending. You know, it's great you're learning to deal w/ stressors differently pre-op. I'm just starting to face major stressors in my life and realizing that I can't eat for comfort any longer. So what's a girl to do??? I've been doing a lot of gardening and exercising to relieve the stress.
Hope today is a better day.
