One last hurah

My parents informed me today that they are going to take me out for one last big meal this Saturday. There is a steak resturant they love in Oregon, Il. They've taken my sister and her husband there before but I've always been too busy working at the hospital to go. They want me to try the resturaunt before I have surgery. Not that I still couldn't enjoy it afterwards. This will be my last weekend eating regular size meals. I have to start my 10 day liquid diet the following weekend. I'm getting so excited!! Mom's getting excited too. She's already planned a couple of weekend excursions for us while I'm off work from surgery. I am a little nervous about being able to stick with the liquid diet for the 10 days. I think it's going to be the hardest part of this whole thing. I'll be working at the hospital up ubtil the day before surgery. Not to mention I'll be on liquids for all the Memorial Day cook outs. Luckily I have people that I can turn to for support, including you guys. Thanks

i understand the last hurah,,, I did it twice because the first time I had to get the gallbladder taken out....Then had to start over again in Febuary with the liquid diet.... First time was through Christmas then the second time was easier.....During Thanksgiving I was trying to lose the 25 pounds the insurance said I had to lose......So I had soup.....Today though I'd say it was worth it all....I haven't lost anything though since my second fill....if anything I've had a small gain....It will start to fall off me when it wants to....I have been exercising and logging everything I eat but I don't think I'm doing every thing right...I'm still learning......My kids are my greatest supporters....And like you said the people on here are wonderfull about helping me out when I need it.....Their alwas here for all of us.....Their my 's Karen

Very excited for you I heard that your doctors are wonderful good luck with the liquid diet and please let me know how it goes with your surgery!
