Anyone have Dr. Kim in Kankakee for surgeon?

I was curious if anyone has done the Lapband with Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

I am not having the lap band done there but I am having RNY done there and Dr Kim will be my surgeon. I have not met him yet but I have spoke with a couple of ladies in his office and they are very nice and informative. I have also recvd good reviews for Dr Kim from Riverside. I hope this helped you a little

Im a nurse in Kankakee, although on med/surg floor, not in Dr.Kims office. He's an awesome person and also a great surgeon.  Very soft spoken, dont let that freak you out.  He's an all-around great person!

Thanks that helps!  I guess I am just incredibly nervous about the whole deal.  Do you know if he requires a hospital stay with Lapband??

I LOVE Dr. Kim!!  I had open RYN 2 years ago and although the results were not as good as I expected, I thought Dr. Kim was amazing. He is very soft spoken but is such a good listener. He makes me feel like what I have to say is being taken seriously and is important to him. I came in with a list of about 50 questions and he answered every one of them patiently. And he is so polite. He would ASK if he might see my incision, ask if I minded this and that. I was extremely at ease with him. I think you'll love him. Sherry
