Sunday Roll Call

I hope that little dude in the subject line will really need those shades today, I am sick of gloomy skys. Oh well, another typical holiday weekend kick off to the summer. Rain, Rain go away, sing it to the kids song    I am trying to zap and chase away the rain with these two. How ya all doing? What's cookn' on the grill today?  We went to a close by fresh fish market (Supreme Lobster) yesterday for the first time and bought some fresh jumbo sea scallops and tuna steaks. We are going to saute the scallops. I have a recipe in a cookbook that was written for PO WLS patients and have been wanting to try for a long time.  And we are going to sear the tuna on the BBQ. We will have enough for left overs for our lunches next week. We have a great parade in Itasca tomorrow morning. I also hope that it drys out a little so I can get my planters done. I stopped planting in the ground years ago and now put my flowers in pots of various sizes and shapes. It is easier to take care of and less weeding.  Come on in and post what you are up to for the next couple of days. Christine   &

Good Morning Chris..  Calvin and I are in TN visiting my folks.  Getting ready to leave for church so I'll have to make this quick.  I was having OH withdrawals so I had to get on for a minute while I'm waiting for the gang to get ready.  We are having a great time.  We spent yesterday on my Uncles house boat at Dell Hollow.  What a nice time.  The weather has been glorious here.  Sorry your weather is crummy. Dinner sounds delicous.  UMM, UMM  mouth was watering.   Have a great holiday and I'll try to pop in tomorrow. (((HUGS))) Christina

How am I suppose to get the pool clean if it keeps raining?..lol  Should we send it too Tennessee?..lol  I will be right up for the seafood.  I have no idea what we are doing.  DH has to work tomorrow.

Is it still raining down there? We have been following Indy and it is raining there right now. I realize that is 1 1/2 state away so hopefully it is past you right now and you can get some work done on the pool. It has been beautiful here since about 10am. Chris

Sunday has turned out beautiful after all. I had a really nice day  DH & I had the house to ourselves Yeah! "slept in"  and just hung out together and enjoyed each others company, & did some chores together and then went to see The Pirates of the Carribean 3. a long over due day together.  very nice and relaxing.  I am planning a party/get together for June 9 - please come, I am sending an email and am going to post it separately.  I'd love to just celebrate  that life is good with some of my friends who have been so supportive and inspirational!!!
