BIG MEDICINE

New series starts today on The Learning Channel at 8:00 CST.  Tonight the topic is Gastric By-Pass.  Thought I would ring the bell in case anyone is interested.

Yes someone posted about it the other day also but I didnt think it started tonight.  Thanks for the reminder. I will be watching I hope its good.

Well the shows over. It was pretty good and it's made me even more excited of course.

the whole series is about gastric bypass, following patients through their journey - I watched tonite and I am hooked.

I got in ten minutes into the program and really enjoyed it. I wish that it was a little more indepth; it seemed a little superficial to me. Time will tell as to how the series pans out. It will be interesting to follow the rather large young man that is bedridden as to how his mother takes to him loosing the weight. I really think she is an enabler and has her "own" need to feel that she has to overfeed him like that. She is going to deal with a lot of phycological issues herself. She is just as much in need of some head help as her son is. The dad seems to be on board with the son needing help.  Christine
