I've got a date!!!

Well, after 15 months - I've GOT A DATE!!  The interesting thing is - it's on my actual birthday - June 29!   Any advice you can give would be appreciated - things I should stock up on, favorite protein drinks, etc. I'm having the Lap Band done.

John, that is so wonderful!! Hang on man because you are in for an amazing ride of your life. You really need to ask your doctor's office what they want you to have on hand for when you get home from the hospital because every doctor's program is different.  What is your favorite protein drink pre op may be disgusting to you PO. It is all about your own taste buds.  Chris

Congratulations on getting your surgery date! Just think, next year you will be celebrating your birthday and WLS anniversary. How cool is that? I'm not sure what to advise you on since you are having the lap band. I had the RNY. All I remember is that in the beginning, there was no way that I could get all my protein requirements in. This way of life is definitely a learning experience. Day by day! It is so worth it. I will be celebrating my 2nd surgianniversary next Friday. It was the best decision I made in my life! Cangrats on your surgery date. Nowy uor birthday can be your REbirthday. How cool is that. I cant wait til I get my date. Hopefully it will be soon. Good luck and keep us posted.

Hey John ... that is EXCELLENT ... what a great birthday present for yourself.  My RNY at NW was done 4 days after my birthday -- 4 years ago (I was one of Nagle's "firsts") ...
