please please please please help

Hello I receive the  lap band last may. I got the surgery done in illinois at loyola hospital the thing is that i have illinois medicaid. My doctor was Dr.Shayani he left loyola and he no longer accepts the Medicaid card. Do any one know where i can get an adjustment with a medical card. I have not had a fill in over a year. The reason why I did not get a fill because i was losing so much weight. now i have no restrictions what so ever and I have gained 10 pounds. I was weighing 230 my weight know is 190 i was weiging 178. My goal weight is 155 please someone help.

i call northwestern today, they do take medical cards, but this is the killer part., you have to attend something called  the wellness program before surgery. the medical card  does the cover that at northwestern hospital.  the young lady stated that the wellness part  will run you up to $4000.00.

I'm sorry that you gained weight.  I was going to a doctor in Joliet, but i no longer haveBC/BS.  I am getting the Medicaid card and he does not take it.  I am looking for a doctor for the lap band surgery and I have had no luck yet.  You might try Dr. Alexander Nagle at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago to see if he takes the card. His # is 312-695-7070.  I haven't tried calling him yet.  I called a doctors office in Kankakee,  but they said there is a 1 year waiting list.  You might try calling Medicaid to see if they can tell you of anyone.  If you find anyone, please let me know.  Good luck!!!!!

i called them they said they were booked.

Try Universary of Chicago...they accept it too....good luck!

I was going to suggest them too because a friend of mine had her Lap RNY done there and she's on medicaid
