Attention Lifeweigh Bariatric Patients
Just wanted to give an update on my husband. He has been in the hospital for 2 weeks now and is finally doing better. He came into the hospital with gangrene and was to have a toe amputated. The night before surgery, he went into renal failure and they had to do emergency dialysis. He was in ICU for a week and had an episode of ventricular fibrillation and had a code blue. Very exciting (not).
Wednesday he finally had the amputation of the toe. They are taking him back to surgery on Monday or Tuesday to do a secondary closure on the foot. They are also doing a renal biopsy to check on his kidney function. He has been having dialysis everyday with only 3 days off during his stay. We are no longer in ICU but in a step down unit.
I have been to work twice, but have been able to do a lot of my job from the hospotal on my laptop. I have been blessed with very compassionate co-workers.
I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers, as they certainly do work. We are felling very watched over.
