Still need some answers
I'm not even going to get started on the insurance companies (personally, I think insurance and pharmaceutical companies should be non-profit organizations ... oops ... I think I just got started there). This surgery is not for everyone, and it IS major surgery. I also often don't think enough psychological therapy is included before (and mostly after) surgery. I feel for you ... since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism I had steadily gained 20 pounds/year, which eventually got me to 349.7 ... I think the year prior to surgery is when we finally got the right dose of medication, which is why I think I didn't gain any weight the year prior to surgery. SO ... we are all on the same journey ... sometimes different roads ... but hopefully hearing the good and bad, it will make those just starting the journey now a little easier. Karyn
