Wednesday Roll Call

All you shy members I challange you to come on in and post something. We all want to get to know you and support you in your journey. That being said - Good Wednesday Morning one and all. Our guest arrived safe and sound yesterday evening. What a sweet heart.  She will be one that I will not want to have leave.  Amazing, she said that Amtrak was only 1/2 hour late!  What is happening with all of you on this hump day? I have a few things at work to accomplish today. It is always a scramble for getting things done before I go on vacation. Right after work I have a doc apt to have my labs drawn. Part of the labs are for my WLS doc and the other labs are for routine thyroid screening that I go for every three months. I am a little overdue by about 3 months, life has been hectic, oh well. Good morning Christine. So, what is up today for this little spitfire? Of course, I must work. It would have been great to be off this week, as the weather is perfect for the pool. I am going to the pool after work today. First, I have to stop off at the beauty shop and get my waxing done - eyebrows and upper lip. I don't want to go to Vegas all hairy! I already decided on the bikini I am going to wear today. It's black with red cherries embellished on the top as well on the bottom. Oh so cute. I have matching cherry earrings to wear and a pair of white sunglasses that have red cherries on the sides of the frame. How cool is that?  Ok, Christina - I know, I know about the swimsuits! Just be confident and put yourself out there girl! You are pretty. Strut your stuff and be proud of who you are and have become. I can't believe that in one week I will be at O'Hare waiting to take off to my destination, Las Vegas! YAY!!! Hot and sunny is good for me. Tomorrow I am meeting up with a new man I met through sugardaddie.com We're going out for dinner to a local steakhouse.  This girl is putting herself out there but so far all frogs!

Good Morning Chris & Lucy and the rest of IL - Happy Hump Day!  I have another busy day at work then my golf lessons tonight.  I do need to run an errand after work, run by Best Buy before my lesson. Chris-  Good to hear your company arrived safe and I'm glad your enjoying her company.  There is always so much to do at work and home to get ready for vacation.  Lucy-  Maybe next summer will be different.  For now, this girl needs to stay covered up  My time will come, I'm just not there yet.  You sound like your in a good space these days and really enjoying life.  I'm proud of you.  The trip to Vegas sounds like a blast.  Too bad you wont be there when the OH Convention is going on. Hey Pam.. I'm the reserved one out of the group and that is so hard for me to fathem considering I was always the wild one but Chris and Lucy have me beat.  I can't compete with the bikini's.  LOL You know, I just love my friends at OH.  Support is what it's all about.  I'm thinking it's time for another get together soon! Good morning all! Today should be a fun day. I going back to my old job- to help educate some lawyers I worked with on the importance of keep ing family ties intact when they push adoption cases through court. I'm glad they asked me back. I did it last year as well, and I have also been working with legislature in Illinois to make Illinois an open adoption state. See, I have 4 bros and sisters, and of them- three have been adopted. One of my sisters, I haven't seen in about 14 years, and the other it's been 4. So this cause is really near and dear to my heart. And then after that- I'm just relaxing, b/c I don't have to go into work today! YAY Have a wonderful week all. It's almost over!

Hi Shana ... that is very interesting work, glad you were able to get back into it.  I, myself was adopted and don't know if I have any blood-related siblings.  The past year I've attempted an IVF cycle and am really hoping to try once again, but everyone is always so quick to say, "use donor eggs", or "you can always adopt" ... every time I hear that I just want to cry ... and I really didn't know why, until someone recently said to me, "you probably just want a genetic connection to SOMEONE" ... wow, did that hit me hard.  I think they may be right.  I feel so disconnected, and really have all my life. Good luck to you ... it seems like you're very passionate about your work, I hope you're able to achieve your desires.

Hello All I am on my way to Alexian Brothers for my final tests tomorrow!!  I will drive up in a couple of hours and I have a hotel.  I will have the final tests in the morning for pre admission and then I am set for the 29th!! Blessings Shannon

My hump day will be great. I will have all the kids over today, they are coming to swim. It will be hecktic but wonderful.....I also need to get this house cleaned, but will wait until the sun goes down it will be near 90 today so Im staying out doors with my little poodle in the shade. The kids can have that cold water.....Oh and I have some flowers to get planted. Just a few. So nothing too exciting.

hey Christine ... well, with the big day tomorrow (and my 4 year anniversary to my surgery on Monday), I've gotten a bit quiet and introspective ... I don't know if I'll have any particular "words of wisdom" as I conquer another year (of life and of post-op gastric bypass surgery), but I do know I want to update my profile here (and get at least a little more current). Came into the office again today (a new record for me ... two days in a row!) ... I actually like it in the office ... ONCE I GET HERE ... but its like pulling teeth convincing myself to come in. Hope everyone (lurkers too) is doing well. Ciao for now, Karyn
