hi guys, this is my second posting? Why do some people die from wls? I am scared now. I am only 18 and have so much to live for.i just had the surgery.  i am scared to die. i don't want to die. Any advice or feedback at all.

Thats like asking why do people die from cancer or in a car. you can die from having a baby. Complications. It all depends on many things age, weight, other co morbs.

must add you picked the best Dr in country!! You are in good hands! When I wen tto my 1 month check up he told me all the major complacations stage has passed. This is very normal process belive me!!! I though I was allergic to the surgery and was going to itch for the rest of my life!! (I was allergic to the benzene and generic darvacet so I was itching really really bad) If you have questions just ask or call the office they are always there to help!!! dee

I second Dee's comments. You are in the best hands possible. Trust Dr. frantzides. He will take excellent care of you.

Sweetie.. most of us worry about this before we have surgery... :)  First you had a excellent surgeon his reputation is far superior to many out there...   Its been shown that a majority of people die because at the time of their surgery they had so many co morbitities their death is attributed to those not the WLS.   You have been through the worst part of it all.. your now on the other side of this surgery.. enjoy your life.. and don't worry your doing great..
