Tuesday Roll Call

Good Morning IL - It's time to rise and shine.  What's going on today?   I have my interview at 11a today.  I feel really good about it.  It's amazing how much more confident I am now that I have some weight off.  WLS continues to open so many doors.  It's just been a true blessing. I'll be heading in to work afer the interview and then completing 8 hours so I probably will not be home until after 9 tonight.  UGH. Nothing else going on.  I sure hope everyone is enjoying the week. Christina

Good morning Christina! I wish you the very best in your interview today. I'm almost ready for my trip to Vegas. I'll be on the plane at this time tomorrow. Tomorrow evening, I'm taking my first pole dancing class. YAY!! I've become somewhat naughty since WLS! The trip will go quickly as I have so much to do and so little time. I plan on spending the earlier part of the morning at the pool. Then I have the tournament to play each day. Shopping is a must and yes, I will be playing the slots as well. I'm going to leave work a bit early today so I can get everything done and have some down time for me. Wishing everyone here a wonderful day! Hugs, Lucy

Christina good luck on the interview!!  I agree WLS surgeery is the greatest, as the weight that held us back for so long disappears, our self esteem gets better! Lucy you enjoy your trip to Vegas, one of my favorite places to visit.  Your not naughty, you are just enjoying your new body! I can not wait to  be able to buy that one thing that I never could have worn even if it was made in PLUS SIZE.... Like a teddy instead of those over sized night shirts... Very attractive !!!!   NOT!!!!!!     We all have a sexy side to us even if we never used it!!!       I want to look good and feel good. GM Christina, Lucy and the rest of IL. I have been up and at 'em for a few hours. Got some time in on the eliptical here at the hotel and then was off to bfast. After bfast we went over to the resort we are to stay at later in the week and Dave hit a few balls on the driving range while he was waiting for me to get done in the spa. I went for my first ever massage and am in love with the whole experience. Very calming.  We will go back down to downtown Dells and do our walking for the day up and down the side streets and of course do some window shopping. Then this evening we are taking a dinner druise on the upper Dells (WI river tour) at 7PM. We have done this on another boat line up here but wanted to experience this excursion. The first one a few years ago we were not too impressed with, food was fair to poor. Got my camera all ready for it and hopefully we will see a good sunset. A little cool and windy today. Tomorrow we go to Noah's Ark to enjoy the water park. We could never have done any of this pre op. We thank our great team of doctors for making it all possible. The same with me having a massage today. We all know about body image when being MO. My weight loss afforded me the oppurtunity to have the self esteem to finally do something that I had always wanted to experience. Smooches, Christine  

Good morning, I am new to the board but not new to this site.   I had my original surgery in 2002 and had to have emergancy revision in 5/22/07. So I came back here for information and was happy to find this link  to the Illinois board. Glad to be here, Glad to meet you ladies. Pat

Two days down, three more to go- well almost down anyways. I have a basketball game to go to tonight through my internship. Their focus is on networking, and meeting people. Getting your name out there and such. I had some business cards made up so I can pass them out, and really take advantage of this opportunity. It's s gonna be interesting. it's sad how ready for the weekend I am already. I get soo tired. But thats okay. I always make it through. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hi There, I had my Beauty School graduation yesterday at 6pm Short and sweet, then we went out to Dinner. My doctor friend is having Lap-Band surgery today. Ill probably go and see her tonight. I have her some words of wisdom on Friday. I went to see my surgeon today. I am at my lowest weight of 136 ever today. He thinks I have a internal hernia and is going to re examine it next month before we leave for Florida. if I have to have it fixed, We will put off going till I have it done. He told me to gain 10 pounds. I asked hime HOW!!!!!! It seems I am loosing 2 to 4 pounds a month still. Go Figure!!!!!  Carla  

Hey Gang...  I really feel like the interview went very well.  Hope they felt the same way.  LOL Lucy -  Have a wonderful time on your vacation.  Be safe you wild thing!  You'll have to show me a move or two of your pole dancing class.  Thanks for thinking about me today while I was on my interview.  I appreciate it. Chris -  Good to hear you and Dave are having a good time on your vacation.  I had no dought because you guys know how to have a good time.  I had my first hot stone massage in Galena a couple months back and it was wonderful.  I'm glad you enjoyed your massage and got to pamper yourself. Karen -  Thanks for the encouragement and warm wishes on my interview.  You are so kind.   Sounds like you have really had a great summer with the GRANDkids. Shanna -  Have fun at the basketball game and happy networking.  Sounds like a good time. I remember how tired I was pre-op.  You will be amazed after surgery how much energy your going to have. Carla -  I'm praying for you.  I hope you don't have to have hernia surgery.  Glad you had a nice time at the celebration last night.
