HELP! Need information, please

I had bc/bs of illinois and I was going to Dr. Joyce at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet.  My husband got injured at work and will be off for awhile, so our insurance was cancelled.  I now have the public aid medical card, but Dr. Joyce doesn't take it.  The only surgeon that I found is Dr. Nagel in Chicago.   Does anyone know what his program involves?  I've already had my psych eval done, and my pulmonologist and cardiologist approved it.  I was going through the 6 month weight  program, but had to stop that because of no insurance.  I wish that I could find a doctor closer, because I hate driving to Chicago by myself, but I don't think that I will. Does Dr. Nagel have a program that I have to go through, and will public aide pay for it?  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Dr Nagel is connected with the Wellness Institute at Northwestern and they do have the usually Phyche Eval, Nutrition, ect.  I dont know if they accept evals from outside there realm.

Hi my name is shaulanda I was just going through the recent posts looking for information I was so confussed as I was trying to sort out what route to go with my wls.  Howewer, I did have my surgery got the lapband done on 7/19/07.  I have bcbs hmo but they were giving me the run arounds so I researched on using my medical card (public card) .  I know you live in joliet area however i Iive in the palatine area but  found a place in chicago and got it done in no time (apr-july) including time visiting doc to having surgery.  email me back if you want the info [email protected].
