Emotional wreck
Hi all. Just got back from my trip to Kansas on Monday. Had a wonderful time visiting with my cousin and her kids. Even cut my hair short for the trip. Was coming home feeling really good about how everything went, then called my Dad when I got within 15 mins of home because Mom wanted him to meet her for supper. That's when my emotional roller coaster started!! Dad said he had been out the last 3 hours searching for my beloved 4 year old schitzu-poodle mix dog. Dad had been dog sitting at his house. Apparently he had to work a 12 hour shift at work Monday and had called the neighbor lady to let out my dog so he wouldn't have to wait to go potty. Everthing was going well until the garbage truck spooked my dog. He took off and the poor neighbor lady ended up chasing him through a field trying to catch him. Needless to say I spent 4-5 hours searching for him when I got home. There had been plenty of sightings of him (none by anyone in my family) and he wouldn't come when called even though we had to be within his ear shot. As of right now he is still missing. He's probably even more lost after the Thunderstorm we had go through last night. Please keep us and Frank in your prayers. Worse part is the not knowing if he's ok.

P.S. Saw Dr. Rosen today for my 2 week post-op check. Was told all is well and I advanced to a soft diet today.
I'm so sorry Shelley. I feel your pain. I have three furbabies and just don't know what I would do without them. I almost lost one of mine a few months back to tetnus. She is still recovering, It's a very slow process.
I will say a prayer that you are reunited w/ Frank. May he find his way home safely.
Congrats on getting to advance to a soft diet. Yahoo!!!

Congrats on your follow up keep up the good work.
I am also sorry to hear about your doggy. I have an Akita that gets loose once a month at least and she is my runner. If she hears the sound of my blazer along with my calling her name she will come running and jump up into the window to get in. Of course she only started doing that after lets say the 10th time she took off running. In hte beginning when she would take off I would post pics and I would call the humane society and animal control to let them know she was lost and to call me if they found a white pinto female akita. The last time she got loose it was raining and I followed the barking dogs to find my girl waiting on a covered porch 3 streets south of me. I pray that your baby will be found. Is he microchipped?
