Thursday Roll Call
Good Morning IL Board,
I hope this Thursday finds everyone well. I am getting ready for work. I hope to get a haircut tonight and then it is a mad dash to get packed for my NYC training class. I did get to see the foot doctor on Monday and the diagnosis is flat feet. I am having orthotics made for my shoes and in the meantime need to ice the foot and stop wearing non support sandals :-(
I hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend. I doubt I will be on from NYC and then I am back for 2 days and off to Scotland. So, I will miss this board and the wonderful support from all of you.
Regards,
Mary
GM Mary and the rest of IL. Flat feet, ewwww I know what that feels like. I did that to myself also with the weight etc. I have doctor made orthotics and they work great. I even put them in my running shoes that have great arch support to begin with. They make a world of difference. Tie up shoes are pretty unsexy but they hurt oh so much less. I can get away with flip flops or mocassins every once in a while but for the most part I do not wear them.
Went to Noah's Ark (America's larges****erpark) yesterday and did a lot of walking. This park is built into the side of a hill so the majority of the walking is going up. We enjoyed the "old people" things like the lazy rivers and people watching. I did go down one of the tube rides and it was a blast. After being there about 3 hours we thought we had had enough sun and walked back to our hotel. It was a smart thing to do because we were starting to get pink. We have a coupon book from this area with 1/2 admissions and food items. So we did not feel like we needed to stay the whole day, tho we could have gone back with our wrist bands. We recharged with a lot of water in the AC and then decided to go out for a walk and ended up at a place that has a large outdoor deck overlooking Lake Delton. This place has a 40' umbrella (motorized) to cover the seating area. We sat there for close to 2 hours. You can see the Tommy Bartlet****er show from there and we watched them rehearse for the upcoming show. Very relaxing day in addition to being able to get some exercise in. We stayed at this hotel because we knew that we could walk just about everywhere for food or entertainment.
Well, need to get moving for the day.

This is 'change resorts day'. We check out here and go to Chula Vista this afternoon where we meet up with part of our group that is coming into town. My niece (Katie) and her two boys will be up tomorrow morning to join us. Dave golfs with the guys in the morning and I am going shopping before I meet up with Katie. You can always find things on the sale racks at Kohl's at this time of year. In addition to Kohl's there is a Tanger Outlet mall and I have my eye on some things at Cold Water Creek!

Good Morning Mary, Chris and the rest of IL -
Rise and shine.. Wow, I am so tired. I've been a working machine. After my golf lesson last night, I ended up having to go back to work and worked until 10p. This is what my job used to be like up until about 2months ago when is slowed way down. Now it seems things are getting busy again.
Mary, Glad to hear they have a solution for your feet. Have a safe trip to NYC and hope to see a little post before you head on to Scottland. Your life is going to busy, busy for a few weeks. Have a wonderful time.
Chris, It's so good to hear what a fantastic time you and Dave are having. Tell Dave I said hello. I'm glad you've had good weather and continue to see new things. BTW, I love people watching. If I ever get down time, that would be my ideal activity!
Hope everyone has a great Thursday.
Christina
