Roll Call - Saturday

Good Morning IL - I'm getting ready to head off to work.  Looks like we got some well needed rain over night.  No big plans for me today other then work, work, work.  It's probably going to be a pretty long day because I don't want to have to work tomorrow so I'll try to stay as long a I can stand it.  I have too much going on tomorrow to try to fit work in too.  We are leaving this upcoming Friday for vacation so I have cleaning, packing and shopping to do.

Good Morning Christina,  I am afraid it's going t o be a washout this morning. not sure how much needed rain we got, but it is not enough for the farmers here in central Illinois. My plans for today include going to the dry cleaners and the post office. Then we are driving to Bloomington for dinner. Hopefully tomorrow, I will be able to throw a beef brisket on the grill, but if not, it wil go in the crock pot. Nothing exciting planned. Don't wear yourself out at work today. Lisa

Good Morning Christina, I am going to go help my brother put together a shed. He isn't very handy with tools, so I told him I could do it. He was goin g to pay to get it done. I could not believe how much that was going to cost. I know I can do it. I remodeled my kitchen, new cabinets, floors and all. I even put in a celling in my bedroom. So I have not doubt I (WE) can get the job done. And it will not cost $700. either.  I am going to consider it a good exercise workout. With  the bending and stretching, Wow I think I feel my body get achy thinking about it. Nothing more for me other than waterpark, waterpark, waterpark. Man we had a blast yesterday at the inside park here at the hotel. I got real brave and went down the tube slides that are totally in the dark, talk about fun. They have a lot crammed into a 40,000ft inside space. Today is supposed to be sunny and warm outside so we will lounge by the pools and my nephews want to play mini golf so their mom can take them there. It is so serene here. While sitting on the balcony this early morning I saw Cedar Wax Wings jumping from tree to tree and I saw a fox trotting through the woods along the river bank. We have been coming to this resort for close to 10 years with the Telephone Pioneer group. That is an organization that Dave belongs to because he has worked for close to 40 yrs with the Bell System. It is hard to believe that our vacation is coming to a close and we return to civilization on Monday morning. Gotta go, the sun beacons me. Christine

Hi Karen - That's some work out!  Don't over do it lady.  Make sure you get plenty of fluids in.  You know, my husband is not a handy one when it comes to construction/remodel.  I figured out real quick owning my own victorian home from the early 1900's by myself for 12years that ummm, you learn how to do a lot of things.  It's not as difficult as people want to make it out to be.  Just takes time.  I was young, could not afford to pay someone to do it so I learned to do it myself. Chris - Vacations seem to go so fast!  I'm happy to hear you guys are having a great time.  Sounds really nice.    I hope someone got a picture of you going down those slides.  How cool  Ok everybody.. where you at? Good morning all-Christina try to get some down time for you- you work too much! Chris B.-Glad to hear your vacation is so much fun.  I wonder how Lucy is doing tearing up the strip  in Vegas.  I am going to price sofas and recliners and maybe a lunch out w/my sweetie.  Tomorrow is my neice's baby shower, which is now a Welcome Baby Lincoln party as he arrived 6 weeks early on Friday a.m. @ 12:28.  He's only 4lbs. 6oz., but healthy and breathing well, thank you Jesus!  I'm a great auntie!  And he is a cutie! Hi Janet - My down time starts next Friday..  Can't wait.  DH and I are going to NC and meeting eight other family members from his side of the family.  It will be a lot of fun.   I've been thinking about Lucy a lot.  I want to see a picture of her in her long blonde wig, pole dancing.  Whooo, Hoooo!  She's our wild child. Sheds up. It wasn't hard at all. I told him it was easy to do. With instructions you can do anything.  I hear ya about old houses, I live in a old farm house. It didn't even have cabinets in it. I have just about got it all remodeled. Lucky for me our son can  help me now.  Welcome to the world Baby Lincoln!  I would like to go to NC sometime, to visit any way, drove through it once but thats about it.  My vacation this year is taking my 5 yr old grandson to Chicago for 2 days. He picks Chicago every  year. He loves the downtown area. He also loves the high rise hotels. So we do alot of walking, check out navy pier, musems and new places to eat.  I may also take him to gurnee 6 flags before school starts.  Have a great evening to all!!!!!!!!

Awww, Welcome to the world Baby Lincoln!!!!! And congratulations Great Auntie!!!!! I am going to be a great aunt in July. I to am comming to a shower on Augest 12th for the new baby. I cant wait to get that baby in my arms. I had a house sale today and sold my livingroom furniture. I made a whopping 300.oo. I didnt get much for it. Noone wants to pay much. They want you to give it to them!!!!! I hate people trapsing thru my house and gawking!!!!!! I guess it is god that I got rid of it. Less to take with me and load up. I am hoping to get rid of more this week. I think we are leaving Colorado in a little over a month. /carla
