surg 6/21 ? about protein
Stephanie - Congratulations on your surgery. If you are experiencing nausea and diaherra you need to get a call into your surgeons office right away. Do not wait until Monday. Someone is on call and will get back w/ you asap. Better to be safe then sorry. You can easily get dehydrated if you are having these symptons. When your sugeon calls, also ask him about an alternative to Beneprotein. Hang in there, it does get better. Christina
I had diarrhea the whole time I was on liquids until I went to soft foods. I also was nauseated that I believe is part of the healing process. We had major surgery! I would call your Dr to be sure though as I am not a doctor. As for protein I always say sytrax nectar fuzzy navel mix with a spoon no clumps taste great with 2oz of OJ and 6-8 or more of water! I get it on best price nutrition for 21.50 a 2 lb jug They are from IL so it is really fast delivery. I order about 2-3 weeks 2 jugs so I don't run out! best wishes and congrats to you on your lifesaving surgery!!!!

Congratulations! Dr. Guske is the best and will take great care of you. If the nausea and diaherra persist call him.
In the meantime try Zero Carb Isopure in the premixed bottles. You can get them at GNC. They have 20grams of protein per bottle and I would mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with Crystal Lite Lemonde and then just sip it through out the day.
I liked the Alpine Punch the best but it comes in all kinds of flavors.
I also had trouble with milk based products early on so this was a perfect solution for me.
Good luck and if I can help at all let me know:
