Monday Roll Call
Morning Christina and all ... good luck on the interview results ... be sure to let us know! Nothing exciting on this front. Just passed my 45th birthday and 4th year post-op the last two weeks and I feel like I should "have it all together" ... but I definitely don't. Still working on it though.
My sister in law is having plastics tomorrow (Fenner/Highland Park Hosp) ... she didn't have WLS (3 caesarians) ... but is having a tummy tuck and a couple other things ... so I'm going to try to spend the day up there. I'm in the phase of gathering info about plastics for myself, but then I guess when I start going that direction, I will definitely have written off any thoughts of having a family (which, right now is killing me). SO ... guess I still have a ways to go. Hey Lucy (aka Brandi) ... you're going to have to show us some of your stuff next week! Karyn

Hi Karen -
Happy belated birthday and congrats on your four year post op anniversary. Do we ever really have it all together? We are all a work in progress.
I hope all goes well for your sister in law. I'm not close to being ready for plastics but will be going to a free seminar that my surgeon is hosting this week. I figure it can't hurt to get prepared. I'm sorry you’re struggling with having a family. I've never had children; I do have two step daughters and a granddaughter by marriage. My husband has hep c and was on treatment for a year. We were advised that we would have to wait a year before we considered having children because the treatment is a form of chemo. Unfortunately, the treatment did not take and he will be starting another 18mo treatment soon and then we would have to wait a min of 12mo after that. I just don't see it happening. Something else I had to turn over to my higher power.
I'll certainly let everyone know when I know something about the job opportunity.
Take Care,
Christina
