Congratulations on your surgery tomorrow.  This will be a new beginning for you.  It's an amazing journey.  The feelings and emotions you are having are all so normal.  I have heard nothing but good about Dr. Kane and his team so I trust all will go well. I'm wiping off your seat on the losing side!  If you have any questions, please ask.  That's what we are here for.  It's a great support group and we are all at different stages in our journey. Sending thoughts and prayers your way.  Make sure you give us an update when you get back home. Christina

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You have one of the best surgeons and he will take good care of you! Your emotions are normal at this stage. Take solace in the fact that you made the right decision for you. Things will look so much brighter after tomorrow. Your life will be the best, so much so you'll wonder why you didn't have the surgery sooner. Keep us posted on your post-op journey. We are here to support you! Hugs, Lucy

hi there, i had my surgery a week ago today with dr. rantis through suburban surgical care specialists too. they are AWESOME aren't they? anyway it's understandable to freak out a little before something like this. it makes you  human. but just know that the pain isn't going to last forever. i had lap band and i see you're having RNY so it is different, but i hardly had any pain. i don't think i took more than 3 presses of the pain button and no pain killers after that. the offices set you up so well with the nutrition plan and the classes before hand and everything. just trust in them and the process!  i am already down 18 pounds since surgery and feel the difference. you will too!  bridget

Congratulations!  The waiting is almost over.  You have a great group behind you and you will do great.  Dr. Guske did my RNY almost 18 mos ago.  They will take good care of you. Don't forget to bring carmex or chapstick and a good pair of slippers with a tred so you can walk easily. It will be over before you know it and then you will be with us on the "Loosing side."
Regards and hugs,

Ronna
