Saturday Roll Call
Good morning IL. Rise and shine and brace the day
Hey we have some new members needing support, why don't you stop in and be an
and add a comment to their post welcoming them to the board.
What is on your plates today? I know where Lucy will be if the sun is out and shining!
Lucy, watch those damaging UV rays. I am surprised Dr Madry does not lecture you on that. Some of the rest of you will have baseball with the kids and grandkids, how fun. You are building memories those kids will never forget, keep it up.
Have fun with your family functions. Eat and drink wisely, get your fluids in and don't forget your exercise. Speaking of exercise, I need to fly and go for my run.

Good Morning Chris and the rest of the IL board,
I made it home late Thursday night from my New York adventure. I was supposed to fly home on Wednesday evening. Due to the storms in Chgo and sudden NYC storms, flights were delayed and canceled. I had hoped I would get out as my flight just kept getting delayed. By 11:00 they canceled it. I had called our corporate travel service and begged them to find me a car. Agents at the airport were telling people not to expect to get out before Saturday at the earliest. I may have directonal issues, but I had the map of the US in my head and was mapping cities to drive to in the hopes of flying home from there. I was able to get a flight from Cleveland to Chgo, late Thursday night. My sister joined me in NYC so I had someone to drive with. Very long drive and then delayed flights again Thursday. I got home very late, but I made it. Good news Christina- On the outbound flight the belt fit, I nearly cried on the plane. The flight from Cleveland was one of those American Eagle 30 seaters and I needed it, but I was only an inch short. I did well on protein as the street vendors all over NYC sell grilled kebobs and there are deli's all over. I did try a few bites of NY pizza, not bad at all. I leave tonight for my trip to England and Scotland and am now going to re-pack as it has turned cool. Lucy- Congratulations on your pole dancing, you are amazing. It sounds like you had a total blast and that is what is important for us. Even though my trip home was full of "adventure" I had a wonderful time otherwise. For those of you waiting for approval, I want to tell you what a gift this surgery is. One year ago, I could barely walk a block without being out of breath, having my pack hurt and simply being tired. This past week I walked all over NYC, climbed subway stairs and had the best time in a city that truly never sleeps. As I was having my minor pity party on the way home, I reflected on that. Tonight I am off to Europe, and will be able to walk all over and enjoy the sights. I am 8 months out and am a "slow loser" but I am moving and losing and if I can do it, anyone can. I will be back in 3 weeks, take care have a safe holiday. Regards, Mary
Mary, totally amazing with your progress, keep up the good work. I envy you on going to the UK, it has been close to 14 years since I have been back there. Are you getting anywhere near the Cotswolds? I love that area. I think I asked you that before. I have never been to NYC, Dave has but not me. Someday I will get there. There still are so many neat places near the Chgo area to see. Even though I have lived in Itasca my whole life I still enjoy going to new places in and around the city. Chris
