I met Coppersmamma!

Shannon that is - AKA/Coppersmamma. I went to visit her in the hospital where she is resting pretty comfortably. she is experiencing some gas pains from having the surgery laproscopically. She is very upbeat and doing great. She did not talk of any pain. She walked me down the corridor to meet another WLS patient that is from the IA board named Sharon L. Sharon had just come back from her leak test and had passed. Shannon was being picked up just as I was leaving to go for her leak test and she is to be released on Monday. Her daughter will come up from Springfield to pick her up. While I was there I met a wife of a guy who also had WLS on Friday also. He is not a member of this board but I encouraged the wife to have him join so we can support him also. Christine

Karyn, I cannot say enough about the people that I met at ABMC. What great people. I wish them all well. It makes such a "connection" when you meet a person personally. Being on line is sometimes so impersonal but meeting in person is EVERYTHING. You know from meeting people on Sean's site, I love all those ladies and guys when we get together. Chris

Hi I'm new to this site and forums. Maybe you can help me find what I need, I am looking for a place to find out more about the Post Op woes, How to get proteins espically. I am VERY fussy and all that protein mix and driks make me vomit. I know I am not getting anywhere near 60 grams. Maybe I need to be on a differnt web site. I had my by pass on May 22, 2007 at Alexian Bros.  I have lost 30# so far with 120 to go......... Any help would be appreciated
