Thursday Roll Call

GM all of IL. How was everyone's day yesterday? We made a grocery store run and on the way dropped my bike off at a co-workers house so he could give it a tune up and fix a flat. I did get some of that weeding done yesterday and in addition to that also got a bike ride in. Dave has two bikes so I rode his other one. I am not fond of it because of swinging my leg over the back side of it and his saddle hits me odd even with adjusting the height. We also walked over to my niece's house and had a little celebration with a few people. The fireworks were fantastic, lasted a half hour. They were also featured on CLTV (the cable side of WGN TV here in Chgo). Come to find out the company that did ours also does the Chicago show that was on the 3rd on the lakefront. Well, need to fly and get ready for work. My biggy plans for today are work and then support group this evening. Christine

Good morning Christine and Illinois.  I spent yesterday sick, what fun that was..lol  Today I just feel spent.  Don't feel sick any more, but just feel like I could spend all day in bed.  I don't know what is up with me.  We watched fireworks on tv last night from St. Louis.  They had some excellent ones. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.  To those of you that work, sorry this is your Monday again...lol

We had some great fireworks this year....the end was outstanding!  Wonder what kind of people light and organize fireworks?  What would be there job describtion?   Peaches I hope you feel better today,  That's no fun when your sick on a holiday! My husband and I had a quiet time.  We did however get to watch the cutest baby ever.  His name is Digby and his mom and dad are our neighbors.  They took their other 2 boys to see Transformers. So we had fun!!!! ginny

!GM.I SAW YOUR FIREWORKS ON THE MORNING NEWS. HOW BEAUTIFUL! OSWEGO'S WERE BLAH! BUT MY BABIES ENJOYED THEM & I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT IN WORK ON TIME. I CAN'T WAIT TO COMFORTABLY RIDE MY BIKE. OH THAT FREEDOM.BRAVO 4 TENDING TO THOSE WEEDS.I GOT SOME IF YOU'RE UP TO IT.LOL.HAVE A GREAT DAY. TIME 4 ME 2 NAP.

Hi All, Well my dogs are safely in my daughters caring home. We got back from Lincoln Nebraska about 4pm yesterday and then we went to the shopping area by our house. They had a female quartet preforming then a Jaz band then fireworks. We were there till 11 pm last night. It was awesome. I havent been to a 4th of July celebration for years. I fell while we were in Lincoln walking in the Haymarket area of the Downtown. It is an eclectic place. A lotof local stuff and restaurants, coffee houses and little shops. We went early and nothing was open. I missed a step and fell flat on my chest and face. I cracked 4 ribs and injured my lungs. Can I say I am in a world of hurt. Thank god for Doctors and Vicodin!!!!!! Now that we are safely home I can concentrate on getting better and packing somemore and getting moved. Carla

Oh Carla, take it a little easy. I fell from my bike on the hard August dried grass/lawn in 03 and cracked 2 ribs. I feel for you. I could not sleep on my right side for close to 8 weeks, and talk about not being able to take a deep breath. It was horrible. Give yourself a little slack because of the ribs. I know that you have a time schedule to keep bu****ch yourself.  The Lincoln downtown area sounds neat. Chris
