Friday Roll Call
GM boys and girls of IL, Happy Friday to you. We are in for the beginning of a hot weekend, at least here in the Chgo area. Stay cool as you can and very important stay hydrated. I had a little bit of a problem on the 4th with being outside. I even was drinking bottled water like there was no tomorrow but lost too much precious fluids from my system. I felt down right yucky,
got myself into the AC and poured more water into me. I was still somewhat dry yesterday. I just cannot stress the fluids enough. I was a water junky before that but this just proves how importan****er is for our systems.
NO NO NO, not the alcohol type of fluids, good ole water!!!
Well, work and I have a group of my nieces and nephew plus two additional coming with their mom to visit me at the police department today for lunch. We are going to picnic on our patio that faces the nature center then I am going to lock the wild indians up in a holding cell, at least for a picture or two then let them out.
I also have a pretty full weekend but more on that at Saturday Roll Call.
Smooches

Good Morning to you Christine and the rest of the IL board. And it is a grand one!
Baby Lincoln had his 1st open heart surgery yesterday and came through like a trooper. It's that tough New England stock on his mother's side! He will be at Children's for another 7 to 10 days , then can come back to CDH and that will be nice to be so close. THANK YOU ALL for your prayers for him. As For me I will be busy at home again this week-end- we have new furniture coming, so last week-end and the 4th we were cleaning and getting rid of junk my sweetie thought he had to have, but now he realizes it's just dust collectors! Men! Have a great week-end-stay cool and hydrated.-Janet K
Good morning everyone! I'm glad to hear that baby Lincoln is doing good Janet, that's got to be rough on everyone....but I'm sure they're all thrilled now! I heard it's going to be a hot one this weekend, I hope the electric company can hold out! well everyone have a very nice weekend even though it's hot! Pam
Hi All, Well today is hot here in colorado too. I am taking a load of classical records to the resale shop today, getting a battery for the motorhome so I can get it emmissioned and liscensed. We are keeping it here in colorado for a while so we have a place to stay when we come here. I fell when we were in Lincoln Nebraska on the 4th. Cracked 4 ribs so I am on Vicodin for a while. It sure does hurt to take a deep breath, and sleeping is nil. My dogs are safely with their new mommy, My daughter. She is having fun with them. Hope all is well. Carla
Well, the wild indians that I talked about this morning were precious little children that were very good and quiet. They did get to go into the cell and have the pictures taken and got to look inside a police car and see all the neat stuff like the shot gun and the radar gun. They had their pictures taken by the squad and in the cell. The mommy was so cute in that she had them all holding onto a rope and they walked single file and were made to mind their manners while inside the building. That is one way to keep the hooligans in "tow".
Happy that baby Lincoln is doing better and will be closer to the family in Winfield soon and how fun getting new furniture.
I also hope the AC holds out this weekend. We have some things planned outside for both Saturday and Sunday.
Just do shallow breathing for now and you will come through it. I am sure that you miss your puppies (I call all dogs puppies even if they are full grown). I still miss my Meggie Kitty that I had to put to sleep back on Feb 11th.
