I found this stuff at walmart called Body Fortress.  I mixed it with skim milk and some frozen peaches it was really good.  I got all of my 60 grams of protein in and it tasted really good.  I used 2 scoops of vanilla flavored powder with a handful of frozen peach slices and 2 cups skim milk. I could live on that for my liquid diet post op.  I also mixed some into my Strawberry Kiwi Propel it too was good.  I am happy to find something I can live with pre-op.  5 days to go!!!!!!!!! Ginny

Ginny, sounds wonderful. Jus****ch because you really cannot use more than 30g of protein at one time. And peaches are probably really good in the store right now also. Chris

Ginny, this morning I had a necturine on my counter that needed to be used and I tried your suggestion and it was really good. I do not have Body Fortress so I just used my vanilla Met-RX and it ended up really good. I use the Propel tubes in my bottled water and they are really good also. Chris

I bet it tasted a little like a creamsicle.  By the way I dont drink the entire thing in one sitting.  That was a all day thing.  I am tring mixing my protein powder to my 64 oz of water today.  Kill to birds with one stone.   ginny

Ginny, just keep this in mind that you should have your water seperate from your liquid protein. You need to get your water in but it should be devoid of calories. Now, a few calories like from Crystal Light is ok but your 64 oz should be non-caloric. Once you get your 64 oz of water in then you can start chalking up the extra oz of fluids. At least this is what my NUT says should be done. If your NUT says ok on getting liquids in the form of protein drinks then ok.  Take care

Ginny, Glad you found something you like but cut it down to only one scoop.  The body can't absorb that much protein at a time so you are wasting it. If I remember right we can only absorb about 30-40 grams at a time. Anyone else want to chime in on this?

Oh! this sounds delicious....have to try it, Ya, I agree on the intake...30gms is sufficient enough for a day... I do like you do, I drink it and take my time with it, all day long. and water is a must.... Thanx for sharing.Ginny. always, Icing
