GM boys and girls of IL, it is the beginning of a scorcher few days here in the Chgo area. First off I have a request for prayers. This is a biggie. I was contacted by Christina P requesting prayers for her family. Nothing I can go into at the moment. When she is back in the Chgo area and can get on the internet she will let you know what is going on. She will be out of town for a little more time than planned and will be back just past hump day next week. Do any of you have anything special planned for the weekend? We have a pool party today. This is an odd one it is a surprise party for my sister's ex-husband. He is a decent guy, little kooky at times but he is the father of my sister's grown kids and I love  and support them. Dave and I are going to help them with serving of the food. The youngest daughter went with us up to the Dells with her boys and she has never planned a party this size before. I probably never mentioned to you before Dave loves to cook and be a host it is one of his greatest gifts and he does it well. Tomorrow we are going to the last day of Taste of Chicago. First we are going to a church service for one of Willow Creek's Regional campus church that meets in downtown Chgo. It meets in the Auditorium Theater of all places and they have been getting at least 700 people at a service on a Sunday. We will take the train down so we do not have to deal with traffic, much easier. I already have a small purse light weight back pack to carry water in. Two waters each to start then we will buy more as we go.  Take care and get your fluids in.  pretend they are toasting with water glasses. Smooches Christine

Hey lady, Prayers being said for Chris and family.  Can I add a request?  My 4 month old niece is sick again, and they are waiting to take her to Children's hospital.  Please say a prayer or a nice thought for Taylor, her mom and dad, and her 2 siblings.   We have a 30th birthday party to attend too this evening.  It is for my other nephew's wife, she doesn't know anything about it.  Then tomorrow is my father-in-law's birthday, we usually take him and the wicked step-mother-in-law out to eat.  Pray for me that I make it through that. My headaches have gotten better, just feel ran down, need to go get labs checked I guess.  Have an appointment for a year check up in September, but I just feel this needs to be done now. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.  I will try to update on Taylor, but if I don't, you know I am at the hospital or watching her siblings. *hugs* Dee

I'm just going down for my morning nap after getting off work an hour ago,   They I'll get up and do some outdoor plantings, then afternoon nap than off to work again.  I repeat the same tomorrow.  Sleeping during the day is so decadent.  Especially when Princess Kamile, Sir Pilsburry, ''Velco Boy" Joey. and Goof head Dusty all get into postion to keep me warml I'm off next week - lots to work on a around the house  and lots of paperwork to catch up on.  I mat take DN and DN to Blue Man Group and Harry Poter.  Then it time to prepare my plastic surgery recovery palace for the Queen (me!)   I'm going to get lots of DVD's stacked up, the final HP comes out on the 21st.   I may have to host some special parties.    If you want to see my scars , you'll have to bring a dish to share.  Different acceptable items to veiw  BL/BF or extended abmoninolplasty.

Well everyone seems to have a pretty busy weekend planned. I got Dave's haircut done a few minutes ago and also have gone to get gas in the car and to Home Depot for the birthday boy's gift. Off to do some housework and a couple loads of laundry.  I will pop back in later on to chit chat. Also welcome to a newbie to the roll call, Luckyme. Stop back in anytime we welcome all. Christine

Good morning all-I will certainly offer up prayers for both  Christina and her family and Dee's niece.  Baby Lincoln is off the respirator and breathing on his own! They are slowly decreasing his sedation and my neice is looking forward to his opening his eyes.  We don't have anything exciting planned.  My vacuum died just as my son-in-law took out the old couch(and of course everything but Hoffa's body was under there!)  A neighbor was kind enough to lend me hers , so I wouldn't be disgraced when the new stuff came.  It is so nice!  I am afraid I overdid it the past few days 'cause my gut is REALLY sore ,so I am seeing Dr. Rantis Tuesday.  Enjoy your party and the taste Chris.  After shopping me and the hubby and the pooch are indoors in the AC.  My other neice goes to Willow Springs- she is the sweetest person you'd ever want to meet.  Her name is Melissa Morgan so if you ever run into her say hi.  I know it's a HUGE congregation but you never know.  E-hugs to all-Janet K

I am going to guess you mean Willow Creek, not Willow Springs. And yes it is large. You really need to know what ministry the person is involved with, which service they attend and which regional or main campus service they attend. We go to Saturday's and are involved with the stage team for the main service, there also is a stage team for the other ministries. I serve with programming and Dave with production. Dave is also an usher/collector during the service. So, you really need to know which core group they serve with.  I would recommend a Dyson vacuum as a replacement. I bought one 4+ months ago and love it. Dr Rantis did Dave's WLS in '03 and Dave thinks the world of him. Chris

She goes to the main church on Wed. and Sat. evening usually.  She sometimes helps out with maintenance work on Tuesdays eves, but hasn't done that in a while. She is a sweetie.  I love Dr. Rantis too- he fixed up a huge mess in my belly we didn't even know was going on  and then did my WLS, though I did have to be banded instead of RNY 'cause he was running out of time.  And I sure didn't want to give Dr. Doom any reason to crow so the band is just fine.  Later-Janet

Good Morning All,   I am listening to Casting Crowns as I clean my grandsons room.  I figure I better get the big jobs out of the way before surgery.  And God knows this is a big job.  It is just amazing how much mess a fourteen year old boy can make.  Heaven knows when I will get back in here.  I'll probably need a bulldozer by then.  LOL Ginny
