Good morning IL. What's cookn' today? What is on the agenda for one and all. Please keep Christina P's family in your thoughts and prayers. It is so good to see this board alive and more and more new faces showing up and some just finding us. Frankly, I did not know there was an IL board when I first started coming to OH either. I found it by accident a couple of years ago.  I know Dave and I need our heads examined because we are going down to the last day of the Taste. But, if I stayed home I would be at "Fish With the Cops" an event that my work sponsers at a local fishn' hole. They stock a retention pond with tagged catfish and the kids get to fish, catch, take the tags and then win prizes at ItascaFest. This is to promote positive police to citizen interaction we have had this function for close to 5+ years. The kids love it. We bring out hot dogs, chips and drinks for everyone to enjoy. It is hot EVERY YEAR including when we have ItascaFest (starting next Thurs-Sun). Fortunately our officers have shorts and light weight uniforms to wear in this weather. If you are in the Itasca area next week come on over to the Fest. Free admission, carnival, food, drinks, entertainment nightly/daily, bingo, health assessment, http://www.itasca.com/index1.htm there is a link in the middle of the page for the list of things going on. http://www.events.org/index.aspx Contact me if you would like more info. Dave and I are there everyday. I have lived in Itasca all my life so it is just one big social event for me. I spend more energy on walking, talking and my neck whipping around to see who else is there so I can talk with them. Plus we always walk or ride our bikes there (about 1 mile away) so we do not have to deal with the parking then we get even more exercise.  Gotta get moven' boys and girls. I won't be on much more today but will check in when I get home this evening. If I am not too tired I will respond, otherwise see ya all tomorrow morning at roll call. Smooches, Christine

I am not sure where Lucy is at lately. I have gone looking for her on other boards and have not seen her elsewhere either.  Yes, Willow has a regional church (we have 4 regional churches) location in downtown Chgo at the Auditorium Theater. It starts at 945 on Sundays with praise and worship then into the service at 10. It was great. Dave has been there before and this was my first time there. You will have some of this energy eventually. I did not have it until we were about 1 yr out and I had lost most of my weight. Yes, we are active. We do not have any kids so we go where we want when we want.  We had a great day. Hot and I will honestly say we did not get enough water in us. I am working on getting more in me right now. Do not think I will last much past 7ish tonight. Chris

Good morning Illinois! Just going to take the day easy. I might run the sweeper on the carpets, just to freshen the house up. I start Real Estate classes tomorow, from 9am to 430pm so my next 6 days will be so busy. I have the book already and there is a lot to learn. I haven't been to svhool in many years. So I'll have to reread everything each night so I'll be ready for the state test on the 16th. I am going to preread the first 2 chapters today.  Had a great day yesterday for our 30th wedding anniversery. Went to Olive Garden for lunch, then the kids all came over to swim. Its always nice when I can get the kids all here at once, it feels like when they were little, but all grown up. LOL  Well thats all for me today be back later. Karen

Good morning Illinois and Chris and Dave.  Yes, where is Lucy?  Is she still soaking up the sun in on of her fabulous bikini's?   Still praying for Chrisitna and her family.  They are trying to treat Taylor with a new antibiotic, but so far it isn't working, she keeps throwing up, so looks like she might be admitted either later today or early tomorrow.  Thanks for the prayers. I am gonna mow the yard, soak in the pool, then have to go to my father-in-law's for his birthday. Dee

Morning Chris! I just got back from O'hare.  My brother had been visiting this week and now is heading back to Huston. You know it's hotter today here than in Huston.  Go figure. Have a relaxing day planned.  Just going to the nail place for a mani/pedi.  I have job interviews coming up this week and want to look extra nice. Have a good time at the Taste and stay cool.
Regards and hugs,

Ronna

Well, can you say HOT! I am getting refreshed at the moment with some good ole water and just relaxing in the AC. Do not know how long I will make it until tonight, probalby not much longer. The Taste was great. We planned our food perfectly and shared everything that we bought. I think all but one thing was protein rich and something that is called a "Taste" portion.  Every vendor has to carry a tiny portion that is a mini version of something on their menu. The one thing that was sort of a complete entree was with rice and of all things goat. Yes, we tried some weird things like that and turtle soup. Dave liked the goat, not me and the turtle soup was fantistic. We did a lot of walking and people watching. I have a Garmin GPS pedometer and it calculates how far you walk and it downloads to my computer and also maps it. I use it for running, walking and biking. I can even use it inside on the treadmill with an additional gadget that calculates your activity on a treadmill or track. Going to watch the news and look at other forums. Chris
