Monday Roll Call
Good morning to all in IL and any visitors that we might have.
Ya it was hot yesterday at the Taste of Chgo but we stayed hydrated. I took a small fabric backpack purse with waters for both. We ate a bit but kept it to mostly protein, some veggies and a little bit of carbs. We shared everything we had so we did not go hog wild on the food. We enjoyed people watching and sat in the shade as much as possible. We ended up at a sidewalk cafe called The Gage at 24 S Michigan right across from Millenium Park and enjoyed a small salad each with Dave having seared tuna and I had grilled chicken (on the salad). We sampled and shared two of their wines from the list also. We saw them featured on ABC local news last week. Then we walked back to the train station and waited just a short while for our train and we were home a little later. And I did not make it much past 8 before I slinked off to bed, the heat zapped me.
If it were not for that heat I would have walked a lot more, I love to walk.
What is happening with everyone this next week?
You know what I will be doing and that is conserving my energies for ItascaFest starting on Thursday.
I do not have much else going on other than I need to water the shrubs around the house because they are getting stressed with the lack of rain.
Have a great day.

Well I'm off for my first day of real estate classes. I will be going till Sat. Then on th 16th I will go take the state test at 6pm.
When I get home about 5 tonight I am going to do my pool exercises. I really can feel these on my legs. I hope it helps to thin them done some. It can't hurt! Other then that I think my week is going to be a slow one.
Oh I've lost weight since my fill on Thursday 4 pounds. It was the liquid diet and only being able to eat 1/2 cup, no kiding lap banders when the fill is at a good spot you can only eat 1/2 cup!
So my advice is until you know how it will be always start with the protein. I did not yesterday and got full on my carrots/greenbeen mix. Had to save the protein for later.
Stay COOL and hyderated Illinois and friends!

Good Morning Chris & the rest of my OH Friends -
I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your continued prayers. My step-daughters mother past away suddenly last Saturday. She had a massive heart attack at the age of 54. Amanda is a good girl and has a strong faith but being 17 and losing your mother has to be one of the hardest things. She lives in MD, she was on her way to NC with our family when we got the phone call and had to turn back around. With this being her senior year of school my dh and I are making arrangements so she can finish out her last year of high school. With the devastating news we just feel any additional major changes would be too hard on her.
So, no internet and no scale for over a week has been quite a challenge!!!! We are in PA staying on my in-laws. They have dial up internet and it really stinks. I'm not sure if I'll be back on before we get back into IL.
My step-daughter and neice will be coming back to stay with us for a few weeks. I should be back into town either Wed evening or Thursday. I'm so tired and just want to get back home.
Chris - Sounds like you and Dave had a good time yesterday.
Karen - Congrats on the 4lbs weight loss!!! Good Luck with the classes you are taking this week.
I hope everyone is doing well and again, thank you for your support.

Christina I will keep you and your family in my prayers, what a tramatic thing to go thru as a teenager, I hope your step daughter can get some peace out of all this! Chris.....you and Dave are never still! you wear me out just talking about it! Karen good luck on your classes as well as your test coming up! Good morning Illinois and all you newbies! Where is Lucy? Pam
Christina I am so sorry to hear about this. I understand how your step daughter feels at this time. I too lost my real dad when I was 17. So she will need a lot of understanding because she is going to feel it all when she sees, hears, or sometimes smells something that will make her miss mom even more. The best thing she has in her corner is that you sound to be a very kind and understanding stepmom. Again sorry to hear of such a sad ending to your visit.

Hi All,
Not much going on here in Colorado this week. Wednesday we are going to Cripple Creed a gambling town to meet up with Carls cousin and meet her son. My husband has never met his cousin so this should be interesting.
My ribs are getting better from my fall on July 4th. I still cant lift anything to heavy. Even my purse is to heavy for me. Driving is a little to hard at times. I am driving a big Dodge Ram Pickupnow as my car is in Florida getting a suntan!!!!!
We are relisting our house again with another realator. The first one we had decided he didnt want to sell our house cause he wasnt going to make 20,000.00 commission on it, and couldnt sell it for what would cover his cost. I found another one that would.
So she is going to list it tomorrow.
We are getting packed up and now I have a lot less furniture. My goal this week is to get rid of the rest of it. I plan on starting over in Florida with new stuff!!!!!
Hope all is well.
