Wednesday Roll Call
Good morning IL, how is everyone doing today?
Man, it is great we are getting a lot of activity on our board in the last several days. If you have not done so yet go in and say hello to some of the new posters. If you cannot answer their question at least say welcome.
Not much going on at the ole homestead today other than I have a hair appointment right after work. Exciting, huh? Well, for once I am sort of out of things to talk about. Now it is your chance to step in and talk up a storm. For you newbies it does not have to be your life's history. Just say hello or whatever comes to mind.

Hello and good morning. I am up bright and early due to babysitting. I have to babysit my great nephew and 2 of my great nieces. They range in age from 4 years to 4 months. I would have never thought about babysitting them a year ago. I don't think I could have.
How is everyone else? We have had some bad storms come through here in the last couple of days. I hope those are over for now.
Well, I am off to take a shower, and to babysit. Everyone have a great day!
Good morning every one! I have finished picking up outdoor plants at Walmart. so cheap this time of year! I was already out there planting them this morning. please don't be impressed that I'm an early riser! just a third shifter! I had a wonderful appointment with Dr. Rosen and his staff yesterday! Having surgery with this team will be great........what a secure environment, kind of makes you feel like there won't be anything to fear in surgery! I have seen a lot of newbies come on this site for a peak, it sure would be great to hear from you all! Have a Good day Pam
Hi everyone, newbies and regulars of Illinois, or where ever you are from!
Just thought I say hi before leaving.
If I pass this the first time around I will be lucky, it is harder then you would think. Too much to remember in 6 days!
Christina, I'm keeping your family in my prayers.
Pam glad you liked Dr R and staff. Hes wonderful and makes you feel so comfortable!
Well gotta run!

I have my first pre-surgery class today at the Wellness Institute at Northwestern Hospital. I don't have a surgery date yet - I meet with my surgeon, Dr. Nagle, a week from today and will take it from there. Excited, nervous, anxious...lots of emotions going on! I'll let you know how my first class goes. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me please!

Hello all- had my six week check up today and I have lost 25 lbs. since surgery!
Still quite sore in a few areas, especially when I do anything exerting. The surgeon assured me that I shouldn't worry as"he really tore my gut up". I guess that is one of those technical medical terms. The best news is my sugars are one tenth of a point away from normal and I have gone from eight shots of 3 different insulins to two shots of one insulin am & pm.
I am looking forward to more improvements in my general health and hopefully decrease some of my oxygen usage. Thanks for all your prayers and encouragement.
Baby Lincoln is doing well and should be transferred to our local hospital's NICU
this week-end. I can't wait to see him. Again thanks for the prayers.
I am planning a quiet day, just a few light chores so my belly stops hurting and I can stop belly-aching
. We have been going like crazy for a week w/this re-decorating and I'm bushed. But it was worth it.
Christina your step-daughter and your family is in my prayers. I losy my mom in 2003 and I still have moments, so I can't imagine how a 17 yr. old copes w/such a loss.
Hi to all the new folks-keep coming back! We're nice people to talk to.
Have a good day all-Janet K
