Lawyer Walter Lindstrom
My wife used him a couple of years ago to file an appeal and she wasn’t too pleased after paying the money. I believe at the time it was like $900. We had BCBS of IL at the time and they denied her so she hired him to send appeal letters. Our biggest complaint was that you could never talk to anyone at the office and we never got any responses to questions that we sent via email (because nobody ever answered the phone) to find out progress. Maybe this problem has changed since then. I think they only send out a general appeal letter for all of their clients unless you get to a point where you have a formal appeal. To make a long story short, my wife did wind up having the surgery a short time later because she changed jobs and her new insurance Blue Shield of CA approved her immediately. They also approved me on the first attempt earlier this year before my surgery. I do know that people have had success using him but I wonder whether or not you could accomplish the same outcome on your own with some research and time and save yourself the money. I know they offer different packages, my wife chose the unlimited appeals option which was the most expensive at that time. I would suggest posting this on the main board so you get it front of a wider audience. I know there are a lot of people who have used his services. I would also suggest that you include your insurance information in your post because you really want to compare results of people who hired him that have the same insurance that you do. That will give you the best indication of what your outcome will most likely be. Good luck to you. Dan
