Yeah...150lbs. lighter!!!
I can barely believe it...I had surgery not quite 10 months ago and I have lost 150lbs!! It's an incredible feeling!!! But...even more important...I have GAINED an incredible new lease on life. I am kind of a rarity...I had surgery at 27 y/o. Initially weighing in at 383. No major co-morbidities, but little quality to my life. I did not even know that I was not living a full life till I began living a full life.
At times, I still face my old food demons, but I am willing and able to fight them now. It took me 18 months to get approved for surgery, but it was well worth it!!!
I would love to get in touch with some other local success stories. I am in Central Illinois.
Congratulations! 150lbs is huge!! That's really impressive. I had my surgery in April (at 29 y/o) and 348lbs. I have lost 82 lbs so far. I don't know if I qualify as a local success yet, but I am in Chicago and also interested in getting in touch with local people in my age group who've had the surgery. PM me if you'd like, I'd love to hear your story.
