Good Morning Illinois. Since Dh works most Sundays, we tend to keep a low profile on weekends. He goes to work at 5 a.m. Today I have already put beef stew in the slow cooker for dinner, cleaned up the house a bit. and am waiting for a friend to stop on her way from California to Bloomington. Not real sure what time her plane comes in, shes landing at O'Hare. But I haven't seen her in 9 years, so I am excited. I also made brownies for a snack when she comes. I am looking forward to a good grab fest.  I also have to get ready for work tomorrow. I usually plan out what I will wear for the week, and get some lunches ready to go. A few dinners to, so I don't have to come home and cook. Otherwise, it will be a normal day in central Illinois. Hope everyone has a good week coming up.

Lisa

It must be the day to meet up with friends that you have not seen in a long time. I am doing the same thing later at the fest. A girl that worked with me at the PD for years and I am her oldest girl's God Mama is stopping by with her twin sister and some of the kids. We usually only touch base via phone even though she lives 2 towns away. Really looking forward to it. Chris

Hi everyone.  Well my daughter made it home safe and sound from camp yesturday.  She said she had gotten so homesick Thursday that she had to go to the nurse's office.  She said she got the letter I sent her on Friday and that it made her feel better.  She had made cermaic plaques at camp for my parents, her Dad, and myself.  My parents plaque is the only one that made it home in 1 peice so she was really upset about that.  I told her that once I get back to work I would take her to the cermaic shop in Rockford and she could pick out something to do for me.  She said she would rather have grandma take her so that I wouldn't know what she was making for me.  My Mom said maybe she would take her, so now my daughter's happy again.  She brought home a fun DVD that shows the kids at camp.  Sam's in it several times.  We had a great time last nigh****ching it!!  I want to go to camp now!! LOL Went to my sister's last night.  She had a cookout to clebrate her birhtday.  Her birhtday is actually tomorrow but with everyone returning to work on Monday she had the cook out yeaturday.  Sam and I were there until 9pm.   Promised to take Sam to see Harry Potter when she got home from camp, so I think we are going to do that today.  My sisters kids talked about possibly coming over to go swimming today. Jason, Good luck tomorrow. I'll be keeping you in my prayers. Christine glad everything went so well with the festival. Shelley

Shelley, you really have a full weekend I see. That is too bad about your gift from camp but I know that she made it from her heart. I sure she will pick something special to do in Rockford with grandma. Chris

Hi everybody,   Jason I will be praying for you tomorrow.  I had my surgery on the 10 so I am 5 days out.  So we are kind of starting this journey at the same time.  Congrats. Feeling better today.  Still have water build up but its getting better.   I have been struggling with the protein and water.  But I do it!!!  Today however I amn going about it differently.  I sip my water thru the day and by evening I will be done.  I mixed 20gr of protein powder with 1/4 cup light and fit for breakfast.  I am going to to the same at lunch and dinner.  I find it amazing that it takes me a half hour to eat something that would have been a mouthful last week. So far I am doing good.  No complications, no vomiting, ect ect.  I am blessed.   I will be taking a walk with my dh a little later and just relaxing with some friends. Hope you all have a great day.   Ginny

Ginny, happy to hear that you are doing better today. How is the headache situation? Good to hear that you are getting out for a little walk. Just go as far as you can with still being able to get back home. Chris

It sounds as though if you have a plan on the food before you go some where then that could be one of the main keys.  Kind of like going to a casino with a set amont and leaving the credit card at home then you won't over spend. people think this surgery is a qiuck fix!   It's not just a tool .......it's an education.   Or maybe it's just that you but so much money time and effort into it that you don't want to ruin the investment! Oh well, soon to find out!   yahooooo! Pam

Jason I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy  and uneventfull surgery.

I have been studing my eyeballs out. Tomorow is the test. I set it up for noon. It will take about 3.5 hours. It is 150 questions. I don't know how ready I am, I do have 2 tries. After i pass I will set up the state test in springfield. I am having a lot of stress on all the testing that my band feels tighter then it should. I have had a lot of pain eatting this week, along with slimming and PB'ing. On top of that the stress gave me a bloody nose, I was setting in class yesterday after lunch and I though I was getting a runny nose, got a tissue and it was really bleeding. I took off to the restroom before anyone noticed.  after the test tomorow I will feel better.  I am going to the Heart of Illinois Fair tomorow with my brother after I take my mom to the dr at 4pm. She came down with pneumonia, I had to leave school rarly on Friday to take her to the dr. Monday is a follow up to see if its getting better or not.  Karen

Hello all! I am currentlyat work after having an already busy day.  I love Sundays, but I on days I work, I fell so rushed to leave church on time (I tend to visit after church) and get home, make lunch, eat, pack a lunch and get to work on time.  Most days I would just get some fast food to eat and feed my son, then I would order out or grab some "wonderful" hospital cafe food!   BUT, I am really trying to adapt my upcoming lifestyle to my current life!   So that means no fast food, and no soda.  I've cut the soda out for 1 week already, and its been 2 weeks since I stopped at one of "those" places where you don't have to get out of the car.   Jason I will praying for you tomarrow, and Karen too!  :)  It sounds like you can use some extra prayer for your peace of mind and stress levels.  Hope everyone is enjoying God's beautiful day today!
