Another set back

I received a call frm Dr. Hart today, hes the lung Doctor I was told to see about the lung clearance. I did a sleep study last week, and they called with the results. I was hoping to submitt to my insurance  the first week of August, and now he tells me that I have sleep apena, and he won't give me clearance until I have the C-pat for at least 3 weeks, or until the next time I see him on Aug 23. I am a bit disappointed, but I know in my head that this can't be rushed. Just a little vent.  I also found out today that I will probably be working a couple of days a week the rest of the summer. Usually, we are layed off in May, and not go bac****il Labor Day. At least it will be better then getting unemployment all summer.  Lisa

Lisa, it eventually will happen. This happened to my husband and he eventually had his surgery with Dr Rantis. Dave needed to be on a c-pap for a month and then he was given clearance by Hart. Janet Kwiek here on this board could give you more insight with Dr Hart. My Dave had a bmi of close to 60 and eventually had his surgery, so there is hope.  Take care girl, it will happen. Christine

Hey darlin'- don't let Dr. Doom get you down.  While he is one the best in his field, his negativity and bedside manner left me lower than a worm's belly after I saw him.  Unfortunately, he does have the last word in giving you clearance, so you just have go with the flow.  I thought I was all set for my surgery and I got called and was told that I had to see him one more time 2 days before I was to have my surgery.  He wanted to do one last test .  I had to cheer up to be suicidal.  I took my St. Jude rosary and a clove of garlic w/me to ward off his negative mojo.  And I did just fine-I passed the test he gave me(much to his surprise) and he had to admit I sounded just fine.  You'll be happy to know he does not see patients in the hospital after the surgery, one of his associates with a heartbeat does. It's just a little bump in the road-it will happen in it's own good time.    I'll keep you in my prayers-Janet K

Thank you Janet. I really felt he was very cold and Dr. Doom also. I really got a smile on my face when I read your reply, knowing I wasn't the only one *****ally didn't like his personality. When I go to see him in August, I am going to drag DH with me. Thank you all that responded. I really do feel better now. Lisa
