Thursday Roll Call

Well, the week is almost over. It has been long from a work stand point. Lot of paperwork from the fest to deal with. Went to my meeting in Oak Brook yesterday. Can you say BUCKS? Their village government building is beautiful. Where my building has cement blocks and tile floors theirs has wood beamed ceilings and bricks on the inside and it is nestled in amongst huge old oak trees. Well, mine was built on the nature center grounds next to the noisy I-290 expressway. We do have nice views out the back at the marsh! I did not get to the mall because traffic was light on RT 83 and I took advantage of it. RT 83 can become a parking lot so I decided to go get my oil changed instead.  It is so neat that we have newbie board members coming in and introducing themselves and also exciting is that Pam S has her date. Baby Lincoln is going home to be with his family. It is also exciting for the other members because they are inching their way to their rightful spot on the looser's bench. We are all partying in our hearts for you. Anything special planned for today? Well, need to get moving and ready for work.  & Christine

Nothing special here, just a haircut, and DH gave me his cold.  Saturday is our date night, pray we both feel like going out, we had to cancel the last two. Dee

i would say to share it with him again but once ya have a cold you are immune from the germ, gosh darn! Summer colds are not fun. I think you usually feel worse in the summer because you cannot snuggle in an afghan because it is too warm. Christine

Good Morning Chris & the rest of IL - Happy Thursday.  I'm so glad to see the board so active lately.  Congrats to Pam S. on getting her date.  And it's so good to hear baby Lincoln is going home. On a sad note, I read on the main board that Shana Lewis was 7 weeks pregnant and lost her baby yesterday.  Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers. I don't have much planned for today.  Just trying to get thru the day with a smile on my face   My boss is out until Monday so I should have no problem. Hope everyone has a good one! Christina

I always take full advantage of when the boss is gone and enjoy myself. It really is a stress reliever when they are not there. Thanks for the info from the main board. How sad. Chris

Good Morning one and all.  We had some pretty bad storms roll through our area from about 7:30pm until about 10 last night.  Luckily no power outages or anything.  I didn't want to be on my puter though so I took advantage of that and started to clean my upstairs!  lol Today just working and then my oldest son has a Dr's appt for a lung function test, he's got asthma and plays football in the fall, so he gets this done to make sure he's okay.  After that it will be more cleaning for the party on Saturday! Prayers going out to all who need them and happy thoughts going out to all who are going through great things right now!   Have a wonderful day everyone. Part of the unincorporated area of Itasca was w/o  last night and my part (east of old Rt 53, Rohlwing Rd) was fine. They got a ton of rain the other night and we did not, go figure. Just as long as there is not any damage. I can handle a down pour. I slept through most of it. Chris

I know right where that is, I grew up in Wood Dale!  The storms didn't do any damage here either thank goodness.

Hi There, My dayis going like anyother day. My move is winding down 9 more days and we are leving. We decided to take our Motorhome with us and not leave it here. Im going to drive that and Carl is going to drive our truck and the trailer. Ill take our 3 cats with me cause they can roam the motorhome and be more comfortable and not be cooped up. Should be interesting. Good luck to all who got their Surgery Dates. it is an exciting time. I am sorry for the person who lost her baby. My great Neice of Nephew isnt here yet. HE or She was due on the 17th. I am still waiting. Hope all is well. Carla

Gosh Carla, the time is going fast (or maybe too fast or slow for you). I am sure that you have a load of last minute things to do. Any word on the selling of your house? How are the ribs coming? Chris
