cant find a local support group

HI EVERYONE I AM LOOKING FOR A SUPPORT GROUP DOWN HERE IN ILLINOIS.... I LIVE IN ILLINOIS BUT ONLY 10 MIN FROM ST LOUIS.... I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO JOIN A SUPPORT GROUP... MY SURGERY WAS NOT HERE IT WAS IN GURNEE ILLINOIS UP PAST CHICAGO.....ANYONE AROUND ME KNOW OF A GROUP I COULD JOIN?

You might want to contact Dee S (aka/Peaches IL and other names along the way) she lives in that area in Wood River. She might have a suggestion for you.  Christine

hey shannon in springfield at the siu clininc for obeisity surgery they have a group meeting once a month for post op and you don't have to have surgery there. It is 20 I think or least it was when I was going to the pre op. it is a psy and diatician I would call and see  it is at the siu clinic which is next to memorial hospital.    Of course it will be really cool to have you come down here too.

Memorial also does a support group once a month. At the last meeting they had the physical therapist there and it was a great talk!  I can give you more info if you want! Patty

Gena I am from the area as well and had surgery in the chicago area too. Maybe we all can put one together.

ahh a good kick in the ass that is what I need too!! Do you ever walk the park? I want to do that again but lazy these days!! I have been doing the gazelle and I did the ab doer yesterday I hurt from that . Only doing it every other day. How are you doing with your protein?? Did you find one you can tolerate? I also have a YMCA membership at the edwardsville one it is 1000 times better then granite they have 2 ymcas for the price. I pay 40.00 but that is for the whole family and fitness center I think for one person it is 16.00 ? let me know your schedule so we can work something out here is my email [email protected]
