Good morning, or is it nighttime?  Not sleeping is getting too me, I don't know which way is up. I want to go to Missouri to Trader Joe's and get some fage yogurt, but a little afraid to drive today.  I only slept maybe 2 hours.  Tonight is my great nephew's t-ball game, and they get awards.  I will take pictures, I am so proud of him. Chat with ya all later. Dee

Sweetie, get your behind into the doc and see what is up. You need your beauty rest. CB edited to read - do not fall into the habit of taking a nap because it will really throw you off, sleep wise. Stay up as long as you can until 9-10pm and then go to bed. Force yourself to stay in bed even if you wake up. Sometimes I find that my mind starts going a mile a minute when I wake up in the middle of the night and that is usally an indication that something is really pressing on my mind.

Tupperware parties, I love Tupperware and have way too much of it. I have gotten really selective in what I buy right now and you know there is so much you can buy at Target, Wally World and other places that is good also. However, Tupperware is durable.  Take care. I am just about going to download the pictures from Saturday and get them in a mailer for you. Chris

Hey Chris ... I was supposed to go into the office today, but last night I wasn't feeling well, EXTREMELY nauseated (you'd think I'd be used to it ... I've been going through it for just about 2 years now ... even the removal of my gallbladder hasn't helped), and I'm still feeling a bit of it today.  I have to go into the office tomorrow, so I better find something to at least numb it. Anyway ... for some strange reason I keep thinking today is Friday.  For once I'm glad its not.  We have our block party this Saturday and I've got TONS to do. If anyone is interested in coming to the block party ... send me a message and I'll send the details.  It's this Saturday, I'm on the NW side of Chicago (Irving/Austin).  All are welcome! Karyn

What is your doctor thinking is causing the nausea? I know you have posted on this before. Have you been able to nail down a pattern yet with what you eat or do not eat? I get a little nausious (sp?) if I do not have something in my tummy and it is really empty. Were you planning on going down to the Allerton with Sean's group (wlsforum.org)? Dave and I are going to be there, staying overnight both Fri & Sat. Dixie is the planner on it. I think there are only rooms available until the 27th at the price she arranged. But of course you can take public transport cheaply. We might even meet up with Dix and Brittney at the Rennisance Faire on Sunday, she said she might be there. By chance last year we saw her there the week after the Allerton weekend.   I would LOVE to come to your block party this Saturday but we have a wedding at 7 Bridges Golf Course in Woodridge. What time is your party and send me your addie. I will see what I can arrange.  Chris

Well, I had a HIDAscan done which showed that my gallbladder was not functioning.  It took me a year and a half, but I finally decided to have it out this past April.  Unfortunately, my symptoms have not changed.  The doc then had me do a gastric emptying test.  I'm hoping to get a copy of the results, but apparently *this* is the culprit (gastroparesis).  I need more info, but I guess that a "normal" gastric emptying is 50% and above, and mine came in at 9%.  The doc wants to put me on Reglan, but he's not a bariatric doc, and I just want to get a second opinion before I do that. I've been battling with SEVERE hypoglycemia as well ... and its funny you mention Dixie and the Rennaisance Faire.  I haven't talked to her since last August  (and I'm sure she definitely won't want to see me, especially at the Faire!) ... I went to the Faire the day you all met there last year ... that morning after we had been to the Faire for only about 20 minutes, I had a seizure and the paramedics took me to St. Catherine's hospital in Kenosha.  My blood sugar was at 23.   I've since had a few other seizures (and hospital stays), most recently in February, when I was in Costco and I also ended up with 7 staples in my head (at Lutheran General).  My blood sugar was 50, but paramedics believe it was on the way up since I was able to eat a small package of peanut butter crackers before I hit the ground. I have been trying to track this, but I haven't been able to make sense of it ... in fact , just this morning, my blood sugar was at 54.  It's driving me nuts. Anyway ... I do plan to come to Sean's "outing" ... I am going to try to stay overnight at least one night.  I'm looking very forward to it and I can't wait to see you and Dave!! I'll send my addy and details for this Saturday ... if you can make it, I'd love to see ya, if not ... I look forward to August! Karyn

Jason, glad you're doing well.  How exciting to have your surgery over so you can move forward.  I had an initial consultation with my surgeon last week.  Now playing the insurance waiting game and I can't wait to get my approval and get this show on the road!  Please continue to keep us posted on your progress.  Good luck!
